My problem is I’m young so this was the first time I heard the song and when I went to listen to the original I got disappointed because he ate this DOWN !!!!! Like buffet style left no crumbs!!! I wish he could recorded this and posted to a music platform because lord knows it would be a daily listen
Luke's Mic was the only Mic on in this Tribute!!! Brother man was the Anchor on this Relay team!!! He brought it all the way home!!!! Great performance by him!!!👏👏🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
OMG HIS HEAD VOICE IS SO PURE AND SO POWERFUL THAT IT SHAKES THE WORLD. I KNOW THAT'S SAYING A LOT BUT YOU HEARD IT 2. JUST UNBELIEVABLE VOCAL POWER. 😳 👏 💔
There are moments, as an audience, when we are lucky enough to watch a professional singer being transported on stage and actually integrate into the music and like transcends. Like vocally and spiritually they go "somewhere else". This happens for Luke James at the 1:00 minute mark where he throws both arms and points to the crowd and sings "Sweet Darling!". From there until the end, something else takes completely over him to deliver this...showstopping vocal. The other performance that randomly comes to mind to illustrate that point is Dionne Warwick's "All In Love is Fair" performance in the 70s towards the end of the song. I don't even think the audience was understanding/processing real time what he did. That was...excellence on the stage at the moment. It's overwhelming to both watch and listen to.
I would love to here him to play Marvin Gaye in the Marvin Gaye story. It’s time they made a movie abt him. He is a beautiful man with a blessed voice.

Something about a black man singing his way to the ancestors just does it for me... 🫶🏽💫✊🏾❤️🥂
