Swan 700cx Alignment (Part 3) Mixer, Driver Coils

In this video, I am attempting my first Mixer/Driver tank coil alignment. I followed the manual but used a multimeter instead of a VTVM. Meter has 10meg ohm input impedance. The Field Strength meter is quality Japanese brand.

How I wired AC plug. Not sure if this is the best or right way to wire this radio. Nevertheless, I choose to use a non grounded plug because the 1973 unit did not offer a third wire for ground. You can check the unit for a hot chassis when you are done.

This video is for the buyer of this specific power supply I sold him. The mod for to eliminate the headphone hum is available in an old company issued memo back in the 70's. It was posted to "me" on the Swan Facebook group as of 2024. The grounding is to not from chassis to chassis but from a jack to the Chassis of transceiver. Not sure of transceiver audio transformer is 4 or 8 ohms as mention...

What a great journey man! I found this channel through QRZ and it's great to see people appreciate the magic of radio. One thing though that's kinda mindblowing ... today is July 17 2022. This video is 2 months old but in it you say it's July 17. Is this the Twilight Zone or what? Am I alive? lol
