Hello Dr RJ I'm want going to college to college to become an orthodontist.

Every study on dare showed it actually had the opposite effect after visiting a community. All it did was make kids curious cause half the stuff they said was stupid. I remember they did a bit on drunk driving that ruined their credibility at my school cause half the students had already drove drunk at least once, and their simulation of it was a joke.

Dare didnt work. All it did was teach me what drugs were and how to get them. It did however teach that if you are going to use, use safely. Dont share needles, vet your sources, etc. The best way to minimize drug use is to increase quality of life. Give people less reason (excuses, reasosn, whatever) and they actually use less. Teaching that using drugs is bad (without using fear!) and that if you do use them to do so in a safe environment and to always vet your sources and do as much research as possible. This shouldnt be taught until at least middle school though and taught by their parents, not the school. Young children shouldn't be introduced to the concept of drugs ever, only once they are old enough to understand the topics.

Except it didnt effing work at all. All the drug runner's in our city wore dare shirts and said "Drugs Are Really Expensive"

I was arguing with my mother about something and she said "you'll understand when you're older" and i interrupted her saying "i hate that stupid phrase" i left that argument with smack marks, a fear of my mother, uncontrollable shaking and tears on my face, for some more context i am 5:8 my mother is 5:2 i am much bigger than her but was still unable to defend myself or do anything about it
