Event when they dont want it

As a human that’s been on earth living in the US for over 35 years I can honestly say life would be better if we lived by the teachings of Christ. However, I believe religious leaders of every nation decided to become a follower of Saint Augustine. Not Jesus Christ. Which is only slightly more moral than the people I hang around. The people in my family, my friends, neighbors, and colleagues are followers of Barabbas. Which is the same thing isn’t it? Who here would challenge my opinion? I’m sort of a Christian. I believe in Jesus, that he died for my sins. I believe his cross was checkmate for the future of mankind. And I believe that people compromised after that sacrifice. Religious leaders will have us believe that it’s because we live in a fallen world. That we are all born with sin. But even if the dumb can see there’s something wrong in today’s Christian society, then is it then time for a revolution? Or is everyone happy with the current status quo? It’s hard to do what needs to be done and say what needs to be said while holding the moral high ground. But religious leaders aren’t supposed to shy away from social hardships. They’ll tell you they’d to would be a martyr for their faith, only to go against the word of God when it comes to war and marriage. Ask any preacher or priest. What words of wisdom do they give the young people who join the military. Ask them what ceremony they give to the alphabet community when they get married. Ask them why they preach about loving your enemies in one speech, and then giving a congratulations to an 18 year old for signing up for military service. Ask them if it’s ok to kill a person in self defense when that person is breaking into your home. I’m curious to know what they say. Because I know what Jesus said. And I know what Barabbas would do. Jesus would help a thief carry his stolen goods and call it a gift. Barabbas would kill the thief and sleep like a baby. And saint Augustine would agree with Barabbas with his just war theory. And I know church is a good force for the community. But until the fire and brimstone comes back to the sermons, people will continue to do what they do. Fall to decadence. And praying for ourselves and our country isn’t going to help nearly as much as praying for a spiritual leaders. Pray they have the courage they preach what needs to be preached. Pray they do right by the people that come. Even the gentle sermons with the lightest touch to mention and remind what is wrong will change the world.

I don't like attending church. Its all about audio-visual and electric instruments. That's not worship. I would rather just go sit in a Catholic cathedral alone and pray.
