Straight axles are tougher than cv I like that its solid rear axle! Obviously you are not a four wheel drive guy or that would have been a plus not a minus!!!

I bought a 1966 Chevy Corvair Moza a couple of months ago, 110 horsepower with a 4 speed manual. I've got the factory AC and AM/FM radio as well. Although, I need to get them both working. Man is it such a smooth riding car and I absolutely love driving it around. It's a beautiful looking car, it sounds great, and everyone is always curious about that Boxer 6 cylinder.

My family had one of these for a few months last year (did not get a prepurchase inspection……I urged everyone to get one when thing used)and it unfortunately mechanically was totalled due to rust (I live in the northeast USA) but when we did have it and I drove it, my god it was just perfect. It was highly optioned, super comfortable, beautiful interior, and was a rocket when you put your foot down. Miss that car dearly!!

The Corvair was a little incomplete at first. But a 68 or 69 model was quite sophisticated. And from 1960 through 1969 it certainly was about 50 years ahead of the engineering of the day. But the next step might have been a mid-engine concept with a long wheel base to accommodate a back seat. And possibly GM might have changed its name and developed a new division for it.

I got one for $5K 130k miles. This is best.

I had a teacher who drove one of these Accord wagons in white with a stick! It was a really awesome car. Eventually she gave it to her son and the engine blew and that was the end of it.

The old ones were the best. It's the only body-on frame V6 engine, RWD (4x4 option) midsized SUV on the market today. Everything is wimpy unibody FWD turbo 4 cylinders riddled with garbage electronics. It's a shame vehicles aren't build well like this anymore

I just reserved a Cybertruck and was reminiscing about the cool features in my Black 2000 Toyota 4Runner SR5 with Sport Package and Gold Package: 1. The A pillar handle...so underrated. 2. The power rear window 3. Switch on the fly 4WD 4. Awesome looking hood scoop I had 130k miles on it until some guy rear ended me and totalled it.

i owned a 999 coupe v6. built superbly. wonderful v6 and playful yet silky suspension.

My neighbour had one of these, and we hatched a cunning plan to see how fast we could get from Auckland to Napier, (in NZ, obviously), one night. I was quite looking forward to this, as he was a bloody good driver, and it promised to be great stuff. That car was bloody fast for its time, and handled pretty well. This was the '80s, for goodness sake. Unfortunately, somehow his wife smelt a rat, and put the kibosh on the entire enterprise by insisting that their 13-year-old daughter accompanied us., thus meaning we'd actually have to drive responsibly. Thanks, Phyllis. Turned out that there was a massive landslide between Taupo and Napier, and we ended up probably making one of the slowest trips, point-to-point, in recorded history. We were diverted along some goat-track along with about 200 other cars, and arrived at 6.30 in the morning. Not good, as we had some serious drinking to do, and I had to be back in Auckland the following morning, driving a Subaru 4wd ute, (BRAT/Brumby). Most disappointing, both from the perspective of the actual trip and the inability, (for me, at least), to indulge in mucho Jim Beam. I got back to Auckland by some other circuitous route, only to find that the person I was supposed to be meeting "had something come up", and couldn't make it. Not a lot of cell phones in NZ in those days. Bloody lovely car, his Cressida. I had the previous model, and it died of terminal corrosion after 5 years. As in the entire car was rotten past the point of economical repair. Sad, as I quite liked it.

I miss small displacement v6's My four-cylinder non-turbo makes more horsepower and torque than this modern day but I'm sure it doesn't sound as good and id imagine with modern weight it's slower

These trucks are up in value because people still want a no frills, simple, basic well built truck. They don't make them anymore but the demand is still there.

Should never compare this car to a Honda. Maybe a Dodge Intrepid but not a honda. That just makes you sound foolish.
