Enjoyed your video! I've tried sprang before, but my kit got lost when I moved. You've inspired me to try again!

I bet sprang would make a nice warm stocking or sock...is this a thing?

Would running a string along the dowel during warping be easier than using a tapestry needle at the end?

Oh god. I've only just started on Tunisian/Afghan crochet, and now I find out about sprang...

I used metal knitting needles (about 3mm) and they bent under the tension. Oops!

I use a tapestry frame - they show up pretty often in thrift shops with half-done tapestries on.

Great demo but could you use a contrasting thread color if you make another video? It would be easier to see because the linen and thread are the same color. Thanks!

Would you be willing to share the picture you show at 3:16 with us? It would be super helpful to have it in a high resolution to look at the details.

That's awesome, thank you! That is exactly the tutorial I need. Just one question: What thread/yarn is the fingerloop braid made of?

More tutorials on needle lace would be great. Is that similar to Aemilia Ars lace? Thanks again for your tutorials!

I think it’s similar-this is based on some very early 15th century needlelace from Lengberg Castle in Austria.

@@rainbowhawkartrachelcase7047 This looks more like Turkish/Armenian needlelace than it does Aemilia Ars. Thank you for the lovely demo!

Could you use waxed linen thread, or would it be to thick of a thread? Thank you for your time, also thank you for doing the tutorial..hard to find one's this up close and so explained

This is thread that is handwaxed with beeswax. I’m not sure if you mean thread that comes prewaxed?

Thank you! Can you do a video on how to do the sprang on a Lendberg bra? And how to do the Tree of Life motif that you showed at the end?
