My dear Lord-- It was such a blessing Arnel does to revive Journey back again when SP left the band!! Wonderfully executed-- AP sure rocks --the hell out of the crowds when he does rock ---BIG TIME! He commands the stage with his presence !! Journey songs are hard to sing, singing high notes again and again!! AP got that awesome natural rasp when he sings ballad songs, it's full of passion and emotion, it's mesmerizing !! !! Journey has the best instrumental musicians and perfect backing voice to complement AP !! Really iconic !! I have experienced watching Journey with AP on LIVE Concerts many times and it was an incredible experience each time! Watching Journey LIVE Concert is such a treat--- for those who have OT done it, *** YOU Cannot BEAT the experience of really watching in person the LIVE Journey Concert-- the feeling is incredible !! Thanks for sharing your nicely taken video of Journey..I love it ! AP is the real deal! Excellent singer in his own rite..AP got that tenor, awesome raspy voice, the young looks ( on his 40's at the date of this concert----but looks like 20years younger !! ). unbelievable energy and great stage presence !. He has brought true and NEW life back to the band that was certain floundering when SP left !! He saved Journey --- as if NO Journey band is around doing shows/concerts-- the song dies along with the band as it happened to other popular bands around !! AP is not trying to be SP--- but he has to do his work as required when he was recruited --to sing exactly the Journey songs--to continue its legacy for years---and he did !! Journey rocks!!! I was invited by a friend to watch a Journey LIVE Concert with AP as Lead singer-and I'm glad I did because since then I get hooked watching this very talented tenor pitch-perfect singer, many times on LIVE Concerts ( after 2009 ) AP gives such an amazing performance for spectators to come back over and over again- he takes command of the stage and gives such an incredible show each time, a blast rock LIVE Concert--on top of that he has those iconic Journey musicians that complement his singing capabilities PERFECT !! !! it's a Journey's Concert experience that should not be missed - worth traveling just to see the Journey Concert! Congratulations AP on his 15th year as frontman for Journey this year of 2022- Can't wait to see JourneyLIVE Concert with AP soon !!

Journey is Neal's band and he likes Arnel a lot and that's what counts!

Deen blows Arnel off the stage when it comes to singing this song. Arnel's sense of melody, phrasing, ability to focus his tone at low volumes, dynamic range, ability to finesse high notes and overall timbre is just not a good fit for this song and many other marque Journey songs. Deen has these qualities and it shows every time that he takes over lead vocals. He understands that he is not Steve Perry, but he also understands the melodic approach, tone and phrasing necessary to sing SP songs
