We talk about the importance of storing and filtering water for emergencies. There are many water shortages in the USA right now and there are 600 wells across California with pockets of contamination, where chemicals widely used for decades in manufacturing and household goods have seeped into the public’s water supply. Chemicals were detected in 86 water systems that serve up to 9 million Cal...

We are going to see more increase in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) and individual items increase in price. The consumer price index rose 5% in May on a year-over-year basis, the highest since the summer of 2008, when oil prices were skyrocketing. Excluding food and energy, core consumer price index...

I used to have no trouble opening a 5 gallon bucket but now that I can’t use my fingers it is a real bitch. Anybody got any good ideas on how to do it if you can’t use your fingers?

Great and clear explanation. I’m still struggling to get the “strip tab” pulled off. Can only budge it about 6 inches. But when I manage to get it off, I’ll know how to open the bucket… thanks to you! Thank you.

Try using a pare of pliers to grab it and pull it around. That is what I do so I don't hurt my fingers.

👍🏼👍🏼Your reply to Debra was very kind, as well as patient. Her criticism seemed irrelevant regarding your excellently instructed video, so I responded to her comment after watching it. However, I apologize I was not as patient as you, although I don’t believe it was inappropriate & it was not done with a mean heart. I TRULY APPRECIATE such instruction & learned a great deal from you‼️‼️THANK YOU❗️

Nice video? But could you lose the upspeak? It causes the listener? to doubt your competency? which I'm sure is quite high? I've heard upspeak? referred to as? the verbal equivalent? of hair twirling? So apparently? my lids are different from yours? so I have to find some other videos? to watch? I think you have much to offer? but I can't stand the upsteak? and there are many others? posting the same information? so I will have to watch them? instead of you? I doubt that I am alone? on this?

Debra. Thanks so much for your comment. I had never heard about upspeak before. I looked it up. I didn't realize that that I was doing that. I was attempting to be less monotone in my talking but I see what you mean. I will work on that. Have a great day.

FYI: I disliked your overuse of question marks & the word “upspeak,” whatever it is. Also, your mean-spirited criticism of an individual only offering a few helpful suggestions for the difficult task, at least for me, of placing & removing the lids of 5 gallon buckets. I feel armed with some very useful knowledge & appreciate this humble man taking the time to make this video.

I’ll have to look up “upspeak” as well. This vid was fab! Keep going! Don’t stop!

I have a slightly different lid and this worked perfect for me. Saved my life (and my back). I will say these buckets are more catered toward male hands whixh are larger but I as a teenage girl was able to open my 3.5 gal buckets with this just fine. Also please lose the ridiculous amount of question makes. Similarly to upspeak it really harms how people view your statements. It's verbal equivalent is using a absurd about of rhetorical statements unrelated to the context trying to prove a incorrect point.

I don’t know what you mean by upspeak, but I personally felt that this video was very well presented, clear, and concise. Your comment on the other hand, with all the random question marks, can give readers an impression of your lack of grammar skills and maybe even your intelligence. If you saw that your lids are different then his, in addition to being annoyed by the “upspeak,” I don’t know why you proceeded to watch the whole thing, knowing that there are so many other videos out there, but it’s odd that you’d write a negative comment for a choice that you made.
