Thanks for the nice comment. We stayed at the Pueblo Indalo back in 1986. The pools have all changed now but everything else looks pretty much the same. The restaurants and holiday complexes have taken over the seafront since then though.

Hi Colin, Yes Garrucha market is a year round market.

Well, it's out of season September 21st but also, I try not to video people without clothes as they tend to get very angry, presumably thinking we are perverts I suppose. June July and August would be packed, but way too hot for us then, we head to cooler climes.

Hi Clair, the kettle is a travel kettle that we always take away with us if in car or motorhome, had it for so many years it's probably antique now, there are no tea or coffee making facilities in the standard cabins, although I believe there is in the "Commadore" class of cabins. For the TV, there is live UK TV showing and I think also films to choose from but, we only watched a little UK TV news ourselves before bed. Definitely recommend having a travel kettle, very cheap & don't take a huge amount of space.

Booked this crossing in September and am here to check out the tea/coffee facilities in the std cabin !! Will bring along my mini travel one, on board for 2 nights, club access already sold out when I booked, need a constant supply of tea haha Thanks for posting… did you eat in either of the restaurants on board ? Wonder how the quality is … only fine done cross channel Brittany Ferries before which were ok but much bigger ships I think.

Hi Ive traveled twice recently. Once on the Salamanca to Santander from Portsmouth. Once to Bilbao on the Santona from Portsmouth. Both ships are very similar, practically the same. I borrowed a mug from the Cafe restaurant on my first crossing. Second crossing I brought my own. Also, the bin in the room doesn't have a bag in it. A container for used tea bags is helpful therefore. The Azul restaurant is of a high standard and worth it. Not cheap and reservations necessary. Eat early is my tip, later seating have long queues. The Cafe restaurant is fine. Reasonably priced. There are microwaves in the bar area and Cafe. You could bring something and heat it up. We did that on our second crossing. The bar and gift shop also sell fruit, crisps, sandwiches etc.

Thank you again. In 5 weeks time we're off to Miami to do a cruise on Norwegian Encore through the Panama canal and ending in Seattle. Then flying back down to LA to visit my sister who will be 80 the day we arrive; and she knows nothing about it.

The weather is a gamble for Norway travel, but worth any sacrifice to explore such a beautiful country. July in our cruise was a mix of misty mornings followed by Mediterranean afternoons.....both equally magnificent though. @@MikeandTinasTravels

Only just seen your comment. I think you misunderstood what I was saying. I quite liked the fact that we were the only white faces & couldn't understand why other people from the ship didn't venture into the town. We love seeing the real places & not just the touristy bits.

Hi Vernon, yes soon be a 24 plate, the years fly by. I liked our 30ft motorhome, used the garage for storage & had a scooter on an electric rack on the back, sold it now as have to keep doing medicals etc etc. Bought a new one in 2001 at Dusseldorf Messe. Those big ones with the cars are lovely but you're limited to where you can go with them, too much money as well unless the lottery comes up. Quite like the idea of a smaller 5th wheeler, but hard to find. Two more weeks in Spain then back to the UK for a few months. Take care.

Hi Vernon, Well we started with motorhomes in 1992 with a 2yr old Elddis Autoquest 400. Then in 2001 bought a new Challenger with garage & bed above, and finally in 2009 we bought a 2006 tag axle Euramobil hbl A class again with a big garage which we used for storage & put the scooter on the back. Been all round Scandinavia as far north as you can drive. Spent 3 months going to Turkey in it then 3 months there before carrying on round Europe. Sold it about 2 years ago now but are thinking of getting another. Itchy feet again.

@@MikeandTinasTravels cheaper to get in spain as you cannot get new ones on LHD mine came from benimar as it was dealer stock got 4 berth but only 2 of us use it

@@BIGV710 Our Challenger was bought new at the Dusseldorf Messe motorhome show, we wanted LHD as we spent more time abroad than UK. Next one won't be new though, too expensive now & need money for other things, a motorbike for me to start.

@@tomm5228 Yes, San Juan de los Terreros is good too. Playa la Carolina is our daughter's favourite, that one & Playa la Higuerica just around the bend is very popular with motorhomes.

Thank you Clare, Yes we knew they were going to be doing the new park and paseo at Garrucha, but still surprised as we came upon the diversions. Again didn't realise that they were going to erect a building at the bus station, although suppose it makes sense. There's also a big flyover well on the way, on the road from Garrucha to Los Gallardos

Hi, yes, we were out and about yesterday and there were lots of people enjoying the playa without clothes. I try not to include in the videos as some people get quite upset. If you watched one of the Vera playa vid's after the rains there was a man in the background I hadn't noticed at the time. But yes, that's what Vera Playa is all about, when it's warm enough.

Yes, Normally quite hot by then. Always the slight risk of a storm, but usually between very warm and hot. June is very hot, but July and August and beginning of September are just way too hot for us@@garymcniven4101

Thanks Clare. Yes you're right about the sun in Spain, so long as it's not too hot. We'll be back there a week on Sunday, through 'til November if all goes well. The sea should be near perfect temperature. Have fun with your cycling.

Hi, I'm sorry but neither of us can remember the cost. If we were doing the videos to make money from I'd probably keep records. I'm guessing it would have been around the £8 to £10 mark. We used the shuttle into Hamburg, although you can wak via the tunnel under the river, a bit of a trek though. We also used the shuttle to Blankenburg when we went to Bruges on the train which we did on our own, that was very cheap. There was not a lot at Le Havre, we just walked off the ship. Honfleur across the river is a lovely place well worth a visit, but we had been there many times before in our motorhome.

Sorry, thought I had answered but obviously it didn't send. Don't know the capacity but at a guess 60% to 65%. Was busy but not hectic.

June maybe, July is too hot for us.
