I’ll never forget it being at Lolla BOILING HOT THAT SUMMER, everyone was sunburnt ALL TO HELL, it was impossible to breathe when the good bands came on because you were stuck in a moving mass of hot bodies, water was so scare, now it’d be criminal, but we were SO YOUNG we did NOT CARE. Layne coming out daily in beautiful suits, but dude was sweating and stripping during the first song! I got to have a few minutes alone with him earlier in the day, he was definitely a ladies man, but still so sweet, shy even, flirty, goofy, THAT LAUGH 😂 But he said “My fuking gf is here tonight, wanna come back and hang another night babe, bad timing!” I got in a flirty question on two about him being a stripper, but he more wanted to hear about me and which bands I was into, said i was cute or something I could barely understand him as another band had started by then and we were screaming into each other’s ear. He again asked If I would like to hang out the next night or at any other date. I was like “Uhh, sure!” He told me where to go to sneak to the buses for next time, pulled me into a hug, peck on the lips, let go of my hands said “I gotta go sweetheart, hopefully see you soon?” We exchanged devilish grins, put his sunglasses back down from his head, walking away. Sadly, I had to work and never made it back! Not sure I’d have had the balls to even go find him, I could barely put together two words standing with him! But he seemed so damn normal! Miss him and AIC like nothing else from my youth💔
