Which graphic software are you using? I am doing my doctoral thesis and a section of it deals with calculus.
I am using a combination of The Geometer's Sketchpad and its web counterpart, Web Sketchpad. There are many wonderful calculus activities that have been created with Sketchpad. See, for example, the book Exploring Calculus with The Geometer's Sketchpad.
