Tudie (short for Tortietude) is available to an approved, loving home for free, plus the cost of shipping/transport. She was all set to go to her new home, but the cost of shipping/transport was too much for the new owners. She has been spayed and is up-to-date on her shots. She is sweet, but very shy. Her mother and father were very sweet cats, but she has always been very reserved. It might be a throwback to one of her Japanese ancestors, as there are Japanese imports on her mother's side. She may blossom in a home where she is the only one or one of two or three. In a cattery environment, she has become more cat-oriented than people oriented. She was born in 4/2021 and because of COVID, I was not able to show her. She would be a good companion cat for another kitty, but she herself may never be a lap kitty. She needs to go to a home with someone who has experience dealing with shy cats and has the patience to wait until she's ready to make a connection. And that could take weeks or months. She is a calm, quiet cat and she loves her cat friends. For some reason she has never bonded to people. I will be working with her in a cage situation where she can observe and feel safe for the next couple of weeks. Shipping to some locations on the West Coast will run about $500 on Alaska, but they embargo shipments out of Denver from 7/1-9/30 because of temperature. To all other parts of the country there is no airline currently doing air cargo shipping of animals. I can hand deliver her to the airport of your choice for $350-$500. The ideal home would be one within driving distance of Denver, Colorado. This kitty is a very special kitty and needs to be in a home with a special person who has the patience to allow her to bloom on her own time.
