When i use the Export to Navisworks function in Advance Steel, the bolts in the connections all appear distorted. Is this normal?

I cannot seem to figure out how to insert the viewport which limits my draw area. Can you please assist me? I can insert a viewport, but the grid is not expanding as I resize the viewport..

Hey, I appreciate the video (I realize it's two years old). Question... My company has started to utilize ACC, and they have created a folder system under the "Project Files" portion of ACC. How do I get P3D to not place the project on the root Project Files directory? I want to put it in the Digital Delivery folder that is one level deeper.

There are many details in the Items properties , but I cannot get those items in property mapping. Only the measurements are visible , how to get those specification text in the Property mapping ?

When I do it. The pipe and insulation split at the weld. Both sides of the insulation are still there.

How do you tell plant 3d which side of the weld to put insulation on?

What if the inserted block is a dynamic block , I tried it and all what it did is to insert a normal block; it did not insert all the parameters for the dynamic block

How to make layer isolate

This is really a great piece of information. Thanks. We were struggling with same issue last week. Even Steel structure doesn't get modelled correctly at large coordinates. Like, it doesn't get aligned with Grids. We are using P3D 2021. Not sure if Autodesk has resolved this issue yet.

I would have a question: I'm working with multiple reactors that are exactly the same. So I basically have drawn one once and now usually copy paste them. Obviously I cant name for valves RC1-CV-1. So basically what I have done so far is: use the find function and replace the RC1 with RC2.. and so on. That works optically but in the background the plant 3d actually doisagrees. How would I do something like that properly? I would really appreciate your help. Have a nice day!

The dwg has to to be saved with the insulation turned on if you want to see it in Navisworks. Insulation turned off in Plant = no insulation shown in Navis.

Hi Tom, thanks for this. Do you know if Autodesk are going to include a P&ID Datamanager in BIM360 / ACC? I remember one of the Autodesk P3d surveys sent out was asking if this would be desirable to users. Do you know of any advancements in this space? Add ons or anything that would enable cloud based database viewer of multiple P&IDs within a project? Cheers Luke
