Some of the best and greatest pioneers of the game were on that field that day and although Robin Fraser and Marcelo Balboa didn't play in this final, it showed the depth of that Foxes team. Our training sessions were nothing compared to the games! Tony Meola mentioned our fitness and to be perfectly honest, we were. I vividly remember Mark Santel stepping in the back line and doing a masterfully job for an injured Robin Fraser. Ian and Tom were unbeatable with Daves 3 back system. Chad Ashton and Kim Roentved could distribute like no other and controlled the middle of the pitch. Dave Dir and Lorne Donaldson were fantastic coaches; the absolute best at the time. And what can I say about Mark Dodd and Jim St. Andre. Those that knew, knew the talent that had been assembled.

Would love to see Washington D.C. get another shot at Indoor soccer maybe bring back the Warthogs name and logo and get an MASL Franchise and play at Capital One Arena with the Capitals and Wizards or maybe play at St. Elizabeth's with the WNBA Mystics, and start a Rivalry with the nearby Baltimore Blast and Harrisburg Heat.
