I’m glad you addressed the various amounts of misinformation spread by BL fans. Whether it be in the comment sections or people doing reaction videos, seeing them blame the lack of animation solely on the animators and/or 8-Bit Studios without doing any research, when in reality, the fault lies with executives at Bandai Namco & Kodansha for giving the adaptation team a horrible deadline. Not to mention, which you hadn’t mentioned in your video, is that 8-Bit Studios had produced around 9 anime projects in 2024 alone, including Episode Nagi & Blue Lock Season 2.

The worst part about it is that by having Robin always lose it means that the results of the other matches is completely predictable. Add in the fact they didn’t give him his revenge against Mr Stone Mountain (I already tuned out most character names due to them being boring lumps of flesh) for crushing his Beyblade. They had him lose to a bunch of cheats only for him to be bailed out by the others instead of giving him an inspirational moment of victory in front of his only fan. They have him go through all these moments to “learn lessons” and saying he has “amazing growth” only for none of that to actually show. He has been carried through the professional career towards a dream he hasn’t earned in any way. If he had been the one to win against Yggdrasil instead of Multi then it may have had a payoff. Instead you get a guy who loses to amateurs and the only “win” he had in a “blading tournament” he didn’t even blade. No chance of his own to take down the Rhino girl or even squeaking out a win against an exhausted Claw Leone. He’s supposed to be the character the viewers relate to. So what is there to relate to with someone who can’t grow? Instead the message it gives is “find others to carry you to your goals instead of actually achieving it yourselves”. And people who say X is actually the MC. His matches are boring cause there is no weight behind the matches. He always goes last and it’s always 1 win 1 loss so you know it’s going to end with him winning. All these bets they make on matches also adds to the stupidity. “Multi will quit influencing if she loses” means nothing as you can’t have her lose her main personality trait. “Persona must work for Yggdrasil if they lose” also the same as it will never happen. If X had lost against Soar Phoenix that might’ve actually been interesting. But no you added an unnecessary stake to the match for thrill so they can’t lose. All in all it’s like they took everything that makes a good story and ran it through a wood chipper, and then put those pieces into a blende, only to glue them back together with chicken shit.

In terms of Beyblade, I certainly consider myself one of the biggest Ryuga fans out there. When I was younger, the aspect of strength and aura 100% appealed to me, BUT, when I was a little older and thought about Ryuga's progression, that's kinda what did it for me. Alongside "coming to terms" with L-Drago, after losing to Gingka, he had this mystery factor to his development in both times he'd appear and how his strength was portrayed (though the latter was always looked at as one of top tier throughout the show). Yeah, he lost to Rago, but he gave us one of the best fights in that scenario , as for just a bit there, even the guy who possessed a god Bey with home field advantage got a bit concerned about who he was facing, even if it didn't last. It was in his (Ryuga's) character to take that challenge on all alone though, and, though he didn't match a god all alone (or in my opinion get to his fullest potential), Ryuga turned out to be quite the entertaining force in all of his battles.

Even though I feel like Valt will always be the goat for me, he and Gingka are the best MCs of Beyblade. Evolution will always be the greatest season of all time for me and Turbo was great, but it didn't feel great compared to when I watched Evolution, but I will say that TURBOS OPENING IS THE GREATEST THING TO EVERY BE CREATED.

I get what they're trying to do with birds character but the writers don't have the talent to pull it off in a way that makes the audience feel the characters potential. I was always rooting for Naruto or even joey from Yu-Gi-Oh because I felt they could do better. I feel nothing but pity for bird because it's gotten to the point where the writers literally won't let him have any victories or meaningful achievements. He's literally been cheated out of victories twice
