LEGO Fortnite - FLYING Castle
Wanted to test out the capabilities of the new Drivers Seat. This 4 story castle is built on a wood foundation elevated by columns. The whole platform is kept afloat just at ground level by a system of balloons. The entire castle can fly up, forwards, and left/right.

This is my latest update on the LEGO Fortnite Monorail System as of 1/21/2024. I have been running and tweaking this design for weeks and have experienced very little issues. There is always the possibility for something to glitch out as LEGO Fortnite is still very new. Hopefully with time, Epic addresses these issues and we will have a smoother gameplay experience! but for now, this is the bes...

After further testing with the original design, I have identified some things that needed to be chnaged and I believe this design is better suited for a monorail design.

This Monorail is the best design using a single Dynamic Foundation for dual direction travel. It can withstand long distance travel and it is much quicker than alternate designs that I have tested. This video is the full step by step guide on how to construct one in your survival game mode.
I’ve noticed that it doesn’t always work when loading into a game from the Backstage. You can also do the emote with 2-3 seconds left between songs before loading back into the stage.
How are people making their characters fly like that in all these videos. 🤔

I’ve stuck to the most simple designs since everytime I load into the game whatever I build on dynamic foundations will turn into something from the Amazing Digital Circus, spread apart from the ground to the sky.

Love your design, amazing. Taught me so much. But I made it and within a few minutes it fell off and the second one broke. If you're interested i could totally send you my changes. Works flawlessly, very close on build.

For me, after the second time I triggered the thruster, while moving the back thrusters broke and fell off with the foundation. Just had to add it back in but for some I think it’s still buggy. This monorail is the best one I’ve seen though so I’ll keep using it. Thanks!
Did the thruster block get really glitchy right before it broke apart?

In survival if your train car hits anthing it will break. Youre better off just extending the track extra long at the ens so it just comes to a rolling or controlled stop and doesn't have to hit anything. Sure you have to make your landing platforms extra long but thats the trade off if it want it to work without breaking

I hope in the new update they add something like a switch that only connects to 1 thruster or a steering wheel, its such a pain to get around the map
Nice. I will see if I can make this work for the remnant of what I built using the 1.0 version of the monorail. I'll have to tweak the two stops in the desert though, since both of those stairs come up the side. I don't think the will be a problem. Just have to support them from below and have a space on the side to get on and off. I have multiple stops no the desert since I keep emptying out caves there and so need to get deeper for more resources. I'll update you if I run into any issues.
You can add a block below the track that’s shoots off to the side. The guide rail doesn’t hang below the track block so it can be used as a walkway to the stairs and it shouldn’t cause any issues with travel.
@@trentpow4 Very nice. I should get back to that area tomorrow so will give it a try then. I got distracted trying to figure out why my coastal village build rating has tanked down to zero after I got it up to rank 4 the other day. It just started dropping over time even as I built more into it. Second time I've had a village do this. First time, I thought they had an update fix it. But here it is happening in another village.

Yes, unfortunatly with as glitchy and buggy as LEGO Fortnite is, a majority of monorail designs fail. I just posted a new video outlining a new design that I have been running for a few weeks and have had the best luck with.
does anyone know if this design can go along curved paths? have not tried in my world yet
I have not yet attempted to try and make this one go along curved paths. I just released a new design on my channel and this is a great idea of things to experiment with!

I try to make the rail system but I think there A hard cap limit and would have to make another rail system to get from desert village to grassland village. It took like 700 wood to get the hard cap range in distance. And if any more from a new rail and connect to it. It would delete that whole new rail line.
You can continue building in the same direction with a new section of track spaced just one stud away from the one where you are experincing the build limit. I will be making a video on how to accomplish this in survival soon but I do breifly go over this topic in my latest video on my channel.
my monorail car keeps disappearing
This design did unfortunatly have some unforseen issues. I have uploaded a new video that I have been running for weeks and experinced little to no major issues with the train car.

I build this in survival mode step by step (including update) - the wheels broke off after ten seconds :(
The wheels are the most unreliable thing in the entire game right now. Every design that I've created with wheels has failed entirely. I just posted a new deisign on my channel that does not use any wheels and is far more reliable while retaining good speeds.

This design did not do well with the large thrusters. I did just upload a new video of my latest train car design that does utilize the large thrusters though.

This does happen occasionaly with the free-floating thruster block. I just posted a new design on my channelt thta I've been running for a few weeks and it has done much better. In my experince, you can only add a limited number of thrusters versus build weight before the block wants to explode like you are talking about.
hey does it ever happen that your machine or your wheels are just vanished when you log back in after building it? Ive had to rebuild it twice and the wheels vanished again.
Yes! That’s what the docking station is for. It lifts the train car off the track and elevates the wheels so they aren’t touching. It keeps it from deleting the wheels
@@trentpow4 Oh like, when you dont use it it gets lifted off the track so that nothing gets deleted? And also why do the wheels get deleted if they touch the track im not sure I understand
@@louisburelle9230Yes! It works fine until I leave the world but if I park it on the track with the wheels touching, it deletes them when loading back into the world. Just one of the weird things about the Lego Fortnite physics. The docking station lifts the wheels up off the track and I haven’t had any issues with it bugging out and deleting them when loading back into the world

I build it. But put a big foundation at the end of the track with 2 big tiers so it wont go further. Great idea thank you😊
After i logged out and back in, it was buggy and made a lot of noise because of the foundation part(between the chests) but still worked so idc. Probably bugs that they will fix hopefully

Save your time this make me want to kill myself drop 1000+ blocks 3 times fuck this. They need to rework the whole game glitch after glitch wasted 12+ hours
There is a limited amount of length im over 1200+ long and it wont let me build longer fpr some reason i have a support and still cant it takes my wood but wont place
This happened to me i didnt know it was a certain amount... i just ended up building 2 tracks lol
There is a horizontal build limit. You can work around this by building a new section of track that is spaced just one stud away from the one where you are encountering a build limit. I touched on this topic in my latest vidoe on my channel but I plan to make a full in depth video on how to accomplish this in survival as it can be tricky to get them perfeectly aligned.
Were you able to replace the wheels on the existing cart or did you have to start over again?
I ened up scraping this who;e iniital design becuase it was too buggy. I did make a new design that I have been running for a few weeks that has held up much better!

The crunching noise happens when any two blocks come in contact with each other. Most of the time it is fine, but it can be indicative that failure is approaching. I did scrap this design as it was too buggy and I posted a new video detailing my new design that has held up much better.

Anyone else having an issue placing the 4 small wheels on the inside rails? It just wont let me place them 😢
I have not had any good experince using the wheels. I just posted a new design video that does not even use them and it has held up much bettet than any other design I've tried out.
First, I absolutely love the design path you took on this, including the update video you followed up with to fix an issue and make it so all the points of contacts between vehicle and track were wheels. My installation did not go as smoothly as yours, but I got it done and it was working. I did have issues with the boarding for a bit, but managed to use a small thin floor piece to add a step up on the ends of the vehicle. That said, after last night's update, I log back on into the grasslands settlement where I logged out, finish playing with the new inventory counts in the chests there, then headed out the gate and up the hill to take a ride to the desert settlement. At which point I saw that my vehicle was not parked on the rail, but was upside down and off to the side of the rail. What happened? I don't know. I assume it was something not translating exactly through the update, as I'd not had that problem when logging off and back on before. Hopefully, yours didn't suffer the same. Now to figure out if I want to go through the build process again or just give up on vehicles and just use the rail as a skywalk from now on.
Thank you for your detailed repsonse! This gives me such a better insight into problems that my builds have for users who have tried them out. I too eventually encountered the issue where the trian car loaded in improperly and it was on the ground below the track. I did just post a new design build on my channel that does not use wheels and have had a much better experince.
I did it and somehow it got over the stop tire at the end it just drove over and broke 😢

All the other ones have no laws of physics even in this game you sometimes need to obey the physics they out a lot of friction not expecting anything to happen and then it breaks
I did this and all my wheels got destroyed in the middle of my track idk what i did wrong
got it working, it was great for 2 days 3rd day later I logged in and as i spawned the whole wood foundation just collapsed down around the dynamic foundation im at my wits end here
I’ve had a couple issues out of this one too. I’m working on another design right now and just finished up the track connecting my home base to my desert biome. Planning on making another video if this new design works out!
can you try making it more longer like a to make it look like a real train? ang put your bed, and crafting bench on top?
