You can feel the "sportness" and drive It in a more sporty way with the morte powerful engines (the 2.0 and the 2.4 JTD) becouse the lybra has the same frame of the Alfa Romeo 156(type 2 evo 3), light and aereodinamic.

Better the turbo one for performance

That's definitely not the car for every day use. When I drive it in town or short distances it's consumption rises up to 20l and becomes very sluggish if you drive it slowly because computer sets engine in that "sluggish" mode. It's made for open road and higher rpms, there it unlocks it's full potential. I'm looking foward to swap 20v turbo to my Lybra, or just put 20v turbo engine block, clutch, exhaust manifold and other parts needed from turbo version, it's easy to convert it from n/a to turbo because it's basically the same engine.

@@mateo_5.20_ 20l i cant believe that , my father has same engine on Lancia k and in city it doesnt go over 15l with normal drive and even when a bit sporty doesnt go upper then 15-16 at max

@@lupurednic8624 I said up to 20l, it is around 15l all the time, I live in the mountain area and there it consumes much more than usual. When I get to the open road then it consumes less.

@@lupurednic8624 I installed LPG on my Lancia K , and it consumes 9L of LPG on open road when I drive 100-110kmh.

Upshifts are between 6700 -7000rpm. Max is 7050.

@@richard_rasi very very nice Sound👍I drove over 3 years a silver Lancia Lybra SW 1.9 jtd Diesel 8 Valve with Stage 1 Software, open Airbox and fixed blow-off valve. My engine had over 450 Nm torque but your sound is much better. Maybe you change the stock Software EMU to Stage 1 and the engine Oil 10W60 or 5W50 and you can rav over 8000 rpm?

These engines are very reliable, good and strong choise, I had one for short time on Kappa (2.4 PETROL/Gasoline ones people say are a little bit worse)

I have it, older version from 1999. with 155 hp, it has 250k on the clock and engine runs like new. It's super reliable and quality is on a highest level. It's an amazing and unique car. Only bad thing about it is too big comsumption and that it becomes sluggish if you drive it constantly in the town or at short distances, it's computer sets engine in that mode based on how you drive. It's a car made for open road and higher rpms.

2.4 has larger stroke which in terms of reability of the block is worse.longer stroke means more stress under high rpm and more stress on piston ring bearings etc.Maybe this is the case.
