Missouri and Wisconsin shelling Iraqi positions in Kuwait to make them think we would do an amphious landing and invade that way while tanks were being trucked West and we came up from the South to invade Iraq. Another thing I heard, an air force pilot said they took off with maximum bomb and missile loads so not fully tanked up on fuel and got filled up in the air. He said he saw 7 tankers doing all their own ovals in the sky, fueling up planes. Crazy.

Reforger '82 was my gig. Was an officer on the HQ staff of the 33rd Tactical Fighter Wing. We had two F-15 squadrins split between German and Canadian bases in the Black Forest. It was a great exercise and a chance to see what we trained for in the U.S. put into action.
