Daily expressions and phrases in the Levantine dialect from a Syrian TV show
In this Syrian Arabic lesson, you will learn some common expressions and phrases we use every day. I've taken these phrases from my last episode of my series "Bas Arabi", "Only Arabic", where I talked about the TV show "Sabaya." In that episode we saw Lubna visit her parents, and the funny story that happened to them. These phrases will definitely surprise your Arab friends and family! I've picked out some of the most common ones and will go over them in the next two lessons. I'm sure this will help you understand these phrases and how to use them, as you'll see them in context. Have fun on your language learning journey!

Thank you for another awesome video. I do have a question. I was wondering why since it is a female "Lubna" why it's "shebek" and not "shebiki". My grandparents immigrated from Lebanon but they spoke to me mostly in English. But this one Lebanese guy I knew would always say "Shu biki ya eini?" when he'd ask me if something was wrong. And I recall him saying "shu baek" if it were a male, and "shu biki" for a female so wondering why it doesn't apply here or can it be either? Maybe both are correct?

Dear Manar, could You please make for us more videos BasArabi with Your adorable students ❤? It's so interesting and inspiring to see from which countries they are, what is the reason why they study Arabic and what additional sources they use to improve their level.
