    Watched a bunch of videos of the best way to stretch and terminate horse fence. I've been buildin' commercial fence for 40 years. Yours was the best. Appreciate the tip on using mini-bolt-cutters (nippers) to carefully cut the knots to create strands to wrap around terminal posts and tie off.

    Dang, I wish you'd showed using the come alongs and how you moved it to tighten. Fence looks great though.

    goddammit. ANOTHER video that glosses over the ONE part I was looking for. How to keep the tension on the end and still tie it off. Why does everybody make a video of all of the easy parts and then cut to where the fence is magically tied off? Why? Every. Fucking. Video.

      @xade7863 2 місяці тому

      If your still needing to know how you tension on the backside of where your tying off so you have a few inches or a foot or 2 on a long run that’ll be slack and use it to be able to tie off and then when you release the tension it’ll absorb back into the length of the fence

    When tieing the termination of the wire you should avoid touching the wire that is tensioned with those pliers. The smallest of scrapes or scratches significantly weakens the wire.

  • @nickford1286
    @nickford1286 2 роки тому

    I see you boys doing good work, but just wrapping the terminations instead of a proper knot and wrap is going to let those wraps unwind under tension. Seen it happen more than once. This fence may do fine without, but please keep it in mind for future.

    I run a 1 inch pipe in between the ends that are height of the fence. Use I com a long and tie to first H brace then pull to second.

    Gud gawd I need a set of them mini bolt cutters. Dikes won't work. I have to "unwind" each of those twists with fence pliers. Takes forever.

    Not as easy as it looks? I hate how y’all fence guys try to complicate things. It really is as easy as it looks! Btw, you can use a single cone along with a tension rod and a stretcher bar. Myself and one guy will go stretch 1000ft of 6ft no climb today. Will be done in about 6hrs. It’s not that difficult..

      But yet here you are watching a video on how to do it 😂😂😂

    • @jamesh9770
      @jamesh9770 6 місяців тому

      Why the overkill? That should only be a 1 man job. 6+6=12 1000 foot stretch, considering you're on a level above "yall fence guys" is not a 2 man job. 2 guys is burning hours. You only need 1 man
