Oreyt and welcome to Wheeltalklife. The channel where all of life's topics will be discussed from Mental Health and mindset to music and culture. I am a wheelchair user with cerebral palsy and someone that has battled with Mental Health. However through this podcast I aim to show people that the mind is a powerful tool that can be used to our advantage rather than our disadvantage and that life is not about where you get to but about sticking in the fight. I hope you enjoy this podcast and the future guests that I have planned. As a great man once said to me. Be Good. Be Happy. x

WE WATCHED LIAM GALLAGHER AND CATFISH AND THE BOTTLEMEN AT LEEDS FEST 2024!!!

Last month, I ticked another festival off my list: Leeds Festival. I've always wanted to check it out, especially after seeing that Liam Gallagher and Catfish and the Bottlemen were headlining on the Friday. They definitely didn't disappoint! It's a festival that has definitely changed over the years in terms of the musical genre it caters for. A lot of which isn't my cup of tea, but that's wha...

Finally got around to uploading the video of our trip to see Michael Bibi at his One Life event at Finsbury Park back in July. It was mint to see him play live for the first time, especially after all he has overcome personally. Music does so much for people's lives and has done for me, especially electronic dance music. It was also a real laugh to share the experience with Aidan, Tommy, Drew, ...

The second Germany trip I took this time alongside Nathan for England vs Denmark in Frankfurt is now up on UA-cam. Buzzing to be able to put able to put video number 1 of the Euro's trip together. Had an absolutely brilliant time and already looking at going back out! Had the absolute pleasure of hosting Manchester based Tech House DJ and producer Charlesworth on the podcast back in April. This Manchester-based DJ and producer impressed us with his vision and passion for music, which clearly connects with him on a deep level. Sorry to spam the posting over the last couple of days! I’ve been reyt enjoying doing shorter videos just rambling on and speaking about whatever comes into my head. I’ve somehow managed to put some of what I've been saying into a full video which is a pretty decent achievement considering I really struggle with editing videos with my hands and the timing/stopping and starting of the process. Anthony Joshua was a hypejob and manufactured fighter. He was gifted the Olympics gold. AJ ducker Wilder and Fury his entire career. He quit against Ruiz and got sparked out by Dubois 😂
Wow, what an amazing experience! Your enthusiasm and spirit are truly inspiring. Keep sharing your adventures-you're showing everyone that nothing can hold you back! 🎉👏

Good man Joe. Great to see you doing what many people without a disability have never done. Great to see you raising awareness of the obstacles put in your way which had to the pressures of trying to live as an independent man. New government in town now so get onto the local MP.
@@markodowd1075 nice one Dally! Great to hear from you! Hope you’re well UTC!
I’m 59 and I can’t remember using the term ‘casual’ I think we called them soul boys. I’m originally from Hammersmith and Fulham.
Casual was a southern word from what I remember
Hahaha boxing match. Bring it on 🤪
Well done Joe good luck for the rest of the season
A fantastic interview, really enjoyed it, thank you!!!
Cheers mate!
@@wheeltalklife you're very welcome. I'll show it to my wife later, and she'll be convinced it's me. Not from Del's personal story, but how I've become immersed in the culture, and the OCD definitely resonated with me!

Mix and match is good, some mod gear is decent, and mix and match is good variety is the spice of life.
80s casuals classics. Great place.
Well to be honest retro started 1990 to come back in. Groups like the happy mondays, the farm, the Las.
Yeah agreed mate I had Oasis in my head tbf
@@delcleveland4035 hi yes oasis were retro and burberry mid 1990s.
@@delcleveland4035 burberry was big in the 1980s football lads.
Yes it was big in the 1980s.
Its the best subculture ever, as there are so many styles but all casual clothes rather than formal, blur and oasis got big 1994 saw them live 1996 knebworth, oasis brought retro gear back in, and 1991 footlocker got adidas gazelles back round again.
This guy is right style is what counts.
Great podcast Joe
Nice one mate! Hope you’re well! What a man ❤️
I’m coming up to my 12 year injury anniversary so I’ve got trainers n shoes that haven’t had a single step on the tarmac and deffo not stepped in any dogshit!!! So it’s not about the comfort of the shoe- it’s definitely all about the fashion!!! I’ve always been into my trainers and got what I could afford most expensively. Just got my latest pair of Samba Guccis but as our feet swell a bit being wheelchair warriors, not always suitable. Got my latest on order n should be ready when I get home. Off-White Nike’s.
That's a perk of our situation pal our trainers hardly ever get dirty haha
Love the subculture and the gear is going strong i first wore adidas trainers 1985 era,two pairs i had now are very rare.
Love that mate! What are your pairs?

Nice one mate! Your support and friendship is always loved and reciprocated!
Love vinyls big collector. Nice to see vinyls and the clothes retro trendys going strong. I heard of the yts young trendy squad back in the day 1987, my mate said be careful of them as well, but riaz he is a good guy really with a great dialouge. Townie thats a saying we used early 1990s.
1986 i was on hoildays and a guy i became friendly with was a good dresser i asked him are you a squaddie he looked at me gone out.but back in the day i thought it was a nationwide word silly me😅
This guy doing interview is a legend respect him.
First heard of baby squad 1987, started wearing the gear 1985 as a casual, when i was at school squaddie meant a hard person but at the time i had no idea of the squad, but 1987 in dads car cortina 1987, we saw a police escort with the baby squad, mum said don't look at them, but i did and one of the guys smiled they were never bullys that i did respect, his book riaz is very interesting great guy.also i know one guy in the squad that wore nike peagus trainers really smart, great yo see the retro gear going strong its nice gear still wear it.
Glad you enjoyed the chat mate!

Great interview!
Thanks so much!
I advised Riaz to walkaway from his lifestyle when he came out of prison but that new cockney accent was had him enspelled
if you are looking look through Riaz, i am commenting all over, algorithm driven. These interviewers know f all about you so cant wind you up....... however, that spell where you had a small Asian entourage. Did you know some of the lads called you the mujahideen? Dont be offended, they literally followed you in single file and the weaving through the clock tower was a sight to behold
