That stuff is magical - I fixed a number of guitar pickup switches the same way.
I had an X10 and liked it, but it doesn't compare with an APS-C model. I gave it to a friend, and she probably threw it away...
I've got an X100S with an on-off switch that doesn't turn off (have to take the battery out to turn it off). I've tried contact cleaner, but it hasn't worked. Have you seen this problem?
Can I use wd-40 alternative for?
lol nooooooo
If I recall correctly, the X10 had a serious defect called white-orb. Be careful if you are paying premium for one
Honestly for such a tiny camera with a small sensor orb is the last thing you will be focused on. My X10 doesn't seem to have it but still.
Now do the same with your chair ;)
I really want to throw this chair away. been here for at least years.
X10 is a gamble. It can deliver great pictures and at next completely awful ones. not very reliable. a diva.
That's true. The jpegs may need a little touch-up in Lightroom mobile.
How much would you currently pay for a X100s?
Australian $600-$650.
@@Zainphotography thanks!
I have this issues with x100v. Gotta find a place that has this stuff
thank you, I will try with my xe2s. Same problem, hope it work!
my xe2s had the same issue. it fixed it.
thanks for the tip 👍🏼
No problem 👍
Curious to see if this works with my xpro1
I try it on my xpro1, it is working perfectly.
Used the same cleaner with x-pro1. It worked 🫡
X100 worth 150 dollars
of course.
Hi! I love images of X trans 2 more but do you think the recipes on 4 because there are more and also clarity option they are better? I have XT 30 II and X30 but I'm worried if I sell XT30II that I lose the cool SOOC recipes
There are definitely more settings on XT30II and its an overall X30 on steroids lol. I had a XT30 but i sold it because it didn't like the design and handling. I think XTrans II camera are alright when you're bored of the film sims etc and just want pure Fujifilm juice without going nuts on custom sims.
Just came across your video on this. My SP2 kept shutting down while attempting to connect. Same issue of it flashing red and shut down. But sadly, for my unit, every time i power cycled it, it will spit out a film thinking a new cartridge is inside!
Thats strange. I would say just get a newer printer as these are a PIA.
Thanks for this video - appreciate the explanation and confirming the dust issue. My X-E1 and T-20 also have dust in the EVF, but my X-T1 which is weather sealed does not. It doesn't affect functionality for those who are wondering, just a reality of owning cameras.
Yes, it doesn't affect the functionality but the size of dust particles will have some impact on the user experience.
this feels like a pretty silly approach, but if i wanted the color rendering of the x-e1 but also wanted the advanced features of the x-e2, is it possible to adjust the image/color settings in the x-e2 to mimic the color representation of the x-e1?
I think the colour output can never match in jpeg settings as you can see the Xtrans I and II have different base colours - red, blues etc. The XTrans II colours are really fulfilling and satisfying and you can reduce the shadow to minus 1 or 2 and get a softer look. I think XE2 is a very confident shooter!
also, i must say that the softness of the x-e1 melts me a bit 🧊 the reds, washed, the browns, pale + reddish, the contrast, less yet my eyes sees such richness in that 😍 before coming across this video, i had prioritized the x-e2 + though the images produced from both cameras are beyond beautiful, today i learned what a softee i am for soft colors 🍦
holy moly, superb comparison pal 🌹🙌🏽🌹 there are lots of great x-e1 vs x-e2 comparison vids out here that discuss worthwhile insights of the subtleties differentiating these two phenomenal shooters but none [that i've seen + boy have i been searching] *demonstrate/display* the difference in image production as you have here in such a beautiful, clear, and informative fashion 💫 bravo + super well done 👏🏽
Thank you for good information. Thanks to the good organization, I was able to do a good job setting up the MX-1, which I was using for the first time.
no problem. This is a lovely camera. I still have mine along with Fuji X10 and X30.
Any way to fix my stuck EVF on a X100F?
Yes but you will have to disassemble it up to the point where there are you will find the white tape and a cable that's hidden behind it. its complicated i would say just join one of FB groups where this has been discussed in more detail.
Thank you for the logic & POV - I appreciated it and followed your thinking.
it is so clear that I can see more color punch and contrast in Xtrans 2 in your side by side comparison, it might not look much different but in photography, a little does mean a lot, especially with something SOOC
So far, in my experience, Xtrans II sensor will produce more punchier colours or "fuji look" with darker shadows. I did a comparison between xtrans I and II recently.

Almost NO ONE speaks about this. Great video! The most affected are easily lenses, when kept in bags is party time for fungus depending on humidity levels.
Yes, the lenses are easily affected by the moist. I have bought a moist meter from Temu which helps in monitoring the moist level in the box but normally the moist level in the box stays at a good level which i think is around 45.
Great video! I just bought an X100s for $150 USD. It was a deal so good I could not let it pass despite me being unable to test the camera beforehand. It has an issue with the OVF curtain but the curtain simply won't come up. It's very old and very used but still works. The only thing that bothers me is a strange sound when switching viewing modes, most likely related to that OVF curtain. Love the pictures it produces! Hope it lasts me at least a year lol.
I had a X100S which developed a strage exposure problem. It would not overexpose when in low light but in bright condition it would overexpose by at least 3 stops and burn the highlights. It was not entirely SAB but could be. If it's making a sound you could try to bang it upside down on your palm or thigh and see if the curtain frees. My X100F also had double vision because the EVF curtain was stuck.
@@Zainphotography thanks for the additional info! I'll check how mine behaves with the exposure.

I want to buy the X-t5 in black but its sold out right now (new). Now, imagine if u are shooting in india or africa surrounded by filth and hunger, imagine if you take out the blingy, flashy silver version, you would look like a massive tourist and will be judged immediately. Black version blends into any situation.
Of course. a silver camera in Africa could possibly cost you your life. lol
Haha you beat me to it I sent her a message to
:-o Got lucky, got lucky! lol better luck next time.
M'y Best and discret camera.
I would say in the digicam stupidity run by the moderm UA-camrs. X10, X30 and Pentax MX1 are the only cameras taken seriously. The rest of them are below average in user experience.
Does the Fuji lens cap fit on either one of them?
Haven't checked but i always use a uv filter anyway.
Great retro looking camera, I decided to keep mine also.
Good choice!
Wow what site did you purchase from?
Marketplace
People buy these for like $500usd still lmao
I think this camera is still quite capable and produces nice JPEGs and RAWs. the camera looks old and functions like one. I felt a huge disconnect between the functionality and looks of X100F and onwards and sold it.
That's an insane deal
Yeah, The cheapest i have ever seen.
Will this fit the X100V?
It should fit any X100 series camera.
Works for me! Thank you for sharing...
Great to hear!
Mi problema es que no me sé la contraseña 😭
I have black X-Pro1 and graphite X-Pro2.
Which color is your favourite pick
@@Zainphotography Graphite
You're missing a huge point: The X-E2 isn't actually silver because of the metal... it's painted on. Where something like the X100 is the color of the metal. Same thing with let's say a Leica... it's not a painted camera. And you can tell. It's subtle but you can tell. And painting the camera is ruining that aesthetic. I like it on a vintage Pentax or Olympus. But once you start powder coating things in a "silver" finish, it starts to make everything with the silver top look sort of dated and dumb.
Yeah, the top plates are made of magnesium alloy and of course, painted over and looks cheap both in black and silver when scratched. They are good at producing consumer grade cameras at affordable prices.
@@Zainphotography I think it goes beyond consumer grade. The XPro and X100 and XT are pro cameras. It's the cheaper ones they tried to paint like they're Leicas. But even those are fine... I'd just choose the black versions.
Silver looks best overall.😃
It just suits the design of this camera better. The X100 series was born with a silver body.
For me, it’s silver every time 😀📷
Yes, Silver will always be my personal favourite but i think sometimes i am a bit constrained by my own anxiety that i don't take out my silver cameras as freely and confidently as the black ones.
4 minutes of my life I will never get back!
i know btw, this unit is still working and charging just fine.
Good video! I’m into this decision with x-e4. I think it looks better in silver than previous models. But I’m introvert. Big problem 😅
XE4 is a nice choice but again, I would try to get one in black and completely black it out. I had two XE3s blacked by using prema markers and they looked cool and stealthy. Also, don't underestimate the 18 f/2 and 35 f/2 in XE4.
This was a lot more in depth than I expected! Really good points all around. I personally love the black for the X-T line but that’s just me. The only thing I would say is that your mic sounds slightly muffled (or I guess just not very clear) in my opinion but you were still easy to understand. Great video!
Very well explained Just want to add couple of things. The Aging of the camera, overthe time the camera might get some scratches and Silver hides them the most, IMO Silver will age well even with scratches. Where as if you are a person who takes good care on any equipment, Black will look the same/new through your usage (without scrathes). Secondly, the markings on the dials are white on a black body, where as black markings on silver dials ( Silver body has a combination of black and white markings) , white markings would help in better visability in low lighting situations. Also , the silver color on most interchangable lens cameras are not the same, so the lens and camera might not have the exact matching silver color. Black might also be of slight variance , but blends better than silver IMO.
I agree. silver one ages well but the black one scratched up doesn't look that bad. I got a X70 in black which has lots of dings and scratches and I have covered those parts with golden permanent marker and to my eyes it looks dope - gives it a brass look. I will make a video about it .
@@ZainphotographyI’m curious about how it looks, I’ll be on the lookout for that video!
Yes, that's also an important point that silver bodies hide injuries very well.

I had the same issue. Bit temperament, sometimes it works sometimes it turns off and on in 20 secs intervals. Anyway i kept it in back yard. Attached it to wall socked through a Mobile charger (old one sitting in cabinet). Now it runs through main power with modified usb porwer input. 4 AAA Batteries run of juice with in a week due to this issue. With power coming from wall socket its all fine now.
I had one for many years. Awesome camera. Nice JPEG. Very sharp lens. It you set metering (spot/average) under one of the buttons, it is easy to quickly switch. Has its problems, when compared to competition (sometimes cheaper). Useless viewfinder. Lens has nice resolution but has some problems (vignetting and has very bad glare). Quirky Menu and configuration not as good as panasonic/oly/nikon. Small battery (O always had spare in a pocket).
Yes, the camera has its quirks. I think it's a decent everyday throw in your bag kind of camera. during my usage, i liked the zoom and compactness as well as the feel.
Hi, I bought a 39mm K&F Nano-K UV filter, but the thread towards the lens does not go all the way /flush to the lens. The hood wouldnt go too. I dont feel confident screwing more, assuming it might damage the lens threading and the hood threading. Can you share how this Nisi filter does while screwing/unscrewing ( like how smoothe and does it go all the way/flush in both sides)
The nisi filter is of slim profile and it flushes the tiffer bmp filter is not thin and doesn't fit all the way in.
