Where you get the brown paper 1/4 tubes? I only come across the red ones. Are those spiral tubes or made like NEPT's?
the Chinese formula is kno3/al/s 5:2:3 ;)
Doesn't it melt the noodles ? How long do you keep in for?
@@ljames85jr nope it doesn’t warm the exhaust up that fast but I only did it until the warm up sequence let the rev down a little because mine would rev up to 1500 or so but I left it for maybe 30 seconds but I don’t do this anymore I have an S650 daily driver with active Exhaust for the early morning and the Sti I start later
@@E85_STI I need to try this on my Maserati Granturismo or it's going to be sold. Thanks for the video gives a good insight on the difference it makes.
@@ljames85jr no,problem and I used to start the car at 0530 for work so of course it’s too damn early and I did buy a whole new exhaust with silencer to help but it was too bassy and I didn’t like it so it’s sitting in my garage now but especially during the cold months it took forever to lower the rpm so I only did this for a while until I bought a daily back then. The car is way louder now though it’s built heads with cams and built block with a big turbo so I never start it early unless it’s like 0800 or something.
@@E85_STI Yes that maybe my next option buying a car for work, I'm the same 5.30am starts when on shift. Dreading the winter months if I don't find a solution in time. Wow that will be loud, as much as we love the sound of our cars we don't want to be disturbing people.
@@ljames85jr exactly and this method works for sure you’ll notice you can’t hear it from 10-20 ft away let alone a neighbor that’s inside so it works it’s just a hassle to do this everyday now I did make a few boxes stuffed with towels and sound deadening squares and those I just placed in front of the exhaust and it does help I just made the opening just big enough to fit the muffler into and it’s much easier but the pool noodles work the best.
Seriously you cannot use a nozzle with 75-15-10 Eastern red cedar charcoal. it will Cato every single time. And you have to wax the tubes as well. Basically black powder with Eastern red cedar has the same forces as high end whistle fuels. Because that black powder is more for lifting shells. You can use it for rockets but it has to be nozzleless. make sure you pack it good and tight and don't bother with a nozzle you should be golden. If you want to use a nozzle and still make 75-15-10 BP it has to be hardwood charcoal. preferably air flow and you do not have to mill it. As long as your powders are decently fine you should have no problems.
@@patman0250 yeah I learned that it’s a little too hot but I did change it to the 60/30/10 and it worked out but for some reason even now when I go back to the 70/15/10 it works fine even with the nozzle but these are NEPT so they have some coating on them already.
is that just a silver aluminum or dark aluminum?
@@orbmaster9429 one is a dark eckert German and the other I believe was just regular higher mesh silver aluminum but the dark works the best I have other videos with whilst eto salute or just even little, crackers and they are very loud.
Its Like Darts (Black Cat Fireworks)
I like Subaru, I own two of them, but this is a piss poor design. The design engineer at Subaru didn't spend a whole lot of time thinking this. Most of these cars nowaday have the need to keep up with the other manufactures bells and whistles. Waste of time, waste of money, mostly waste of my time fixing this POS. Good video!
@@something2say159 yeah it’s a dumb design and there wires thing is when I messed with it I didn’t really have the dried crud from the washer fluid but some does leave a crumbly residue which messes these up and gets the float stuck but I use only rain x brand not the cheap Walmart summer formula .
Is it there any reason why I can't use commercially available black powder for the construction of this type of rocket?
@@David_Vander_Vliet well the grains would still compact in the tube but my black powder is very fast and people use it for shooting so I don’t think it should be a problem other than it could be a little too hot for the rocket and it would CATO but it’s cost effective to make it
Hold on you have been making fireworks and you didn't know what type of aluminum to buy? Everybody knows dark aluminum it's all you use for flash. Unless you want to go the magnesium route which is awesome as well.
@@patman0250 the dark German Eckert is the best I’ve seen and has a very loud crisp flash when it goes off but I like to experiment and I’ve even made a video to see if you Kno3 would work.
Do you wax the spindle?
What is the pressure gauge thing called that your using?
@@TheSeedExchange pressure to force gauge
Do you think you can press small whistle rockets or screamers with a arbor press
I use 80% isopropyl alcohol. It drys fster
Hello may I know how long is your spindle? I’m trying to make my own rocket tooling. Does tooling is not available in my country. Thank you
If i were to remake this rocket but with rocket candy fuel do i just add flash last and a balled up tissue to plug it with hot glue for a report?
I'm an idiot, can someone teach me how metals accelerate burn rate for rcandy?
they had two quick questions was wondering where do you get your tubes or the whistles and then also I have seen on some other whistles for bigger salutes can you use HVAC aluminum tape to wrap around the top part of where the fuse is to cover it and will that still work
Guys, look for part number: 289111E400 To get a replacement sensor. It will say it’s meant for Nissan vehicles, but Subaru Owners swear by it. Going to use it for my 2015 wrx.
Wassup pyro. Can you give me the size of the spindle that you are using? That tool is not available here so i want to make my own.
How hard do you need to press 5/16 ? And my 1/4 inch rockets always cato. Im using pot benzoate whistle.
@@BearValleyPyro I use benzo as well and I made a video on how I make it but on the 5/16 I set my press to the lowest setting and last time I checked the psi it was 434 lbs so as long as the tube doesn’t split you should be good but make sure when you fuse it you don’t stick the fuse into the core that will cause the Cato as well.
@@E85_STI yea I figured the fusing part out the hard way, wasted like 10 5/16 tubes. Thanks 🙏👍 Do people make 1/4 inch whistle rockets too or are those red spiral tubes just meant for black powder? I am pressing whistle in them and those always cato, haven't gotten one of those to work yet.
Man that was super sick ! I love the little rockets, great job 👍 I can't get my 1/4 inchers to whistle . . . My 5/16 rockets whistle good. I think I am not able to press them as hard because the tube ruptures.
I love the EL headers sound!
i did this with my cousins during new years lol, we got a bunch of leaves and set it on fire on multiple ant piles. we got bit a bunch and almost burned down my uncles fence lol
Does anyone think metamaterials are in the plastic and they’re reacting to combustion? Cause in other plastics that are HARD like bottles the sound doesn’t make this type of sound.
I'm no expert in flash powder, but i wouldn't be making holes in the fireworks after there's power in it
Wouldn’t it be better to touch something like wood to remove static electricity from your body?
@@stephensniff I do that off camera but I haven’t had any static build up in my house because I have hard wood floors.

What i do is i roll my kno3 for about 2 days to a super fine powder, then i mix the kno3 sulfer and airfloat charcoal. After i mill the chemicals together for around 3 days its almost as fast as commercial black powder after granulating with 50 50 rubbing alcohol and water.
3 day of running an practical grenade? No thanks
Hey new subscriber would you do a start to finish 1/4 inch rocket tutorial? I got the kit from pyrocreation coming in the mail and there is really no information on them. Awesome content!
@@jeavenstubin5112 thank you for that and I have a video on it. I do make the next size up which is the 5/16 rockets they are slightly larger and make for a fun rocket. I use whistle fuel in the 5/16 but for the 1/4 don’t hammer too hard because the tune can split so I use a rubber mallet lightly tapping to pack the clay and bp. You can add a remote to these easily and I did get some of those little 1/4 paper plugs off pyro but idk if I used them in this video. ua-cam.com/video/J4eUmx7YVHo/v-deo.htmlsi=up9HIwMkL6gs5YWV
You should do a shock sensitivity test for flash. With using different types of AL
How do I prevent a blow up?
@@matthewhollingsworth3360 what do you mean?
What if you made a giant version, like 3x or 4x larger than standard? Maybe put some stars in there. EDIT: Increase the charcoal ratio to slow that down.
@@atomicskull6405 I’ve thought about that I do have some 3lb 3/4” tubes they are more for rockets but I always forget to do it when the season rolls around
modern ground blooms all suck, back in the 70's and 80's they were completely filled with powder and ran for 15 seconds. Today they are just a waste of money, you can blame fire marshals in safe and sane states threatening to ban them if the runtime wasn't reduced because people learned you could put a cardboard wing on them.
One trick for a bigger boom but will affect the break is to wrap the shell with tape or plastic compression is the main factor to the boom but be carefull to much and you have a bomb or best case a mine shell if you wrap to much 😅
In case your wondering for a class c firework the maxium powder per arial unit is a max of 60 grams so when you see 5 6 8 inch shells its mostly fluff sometimes with bigger stars but mostly its just an advertisement gimmick just like there has to be one inch spacing from tubes on a 500gram why those saturn missle batteries are the size of a pallet 😂
perchlorate flash is too unstable really. Fast, but not really a safe compound.
I'm thinking that it isn't your press that is losing pressure. I just pressed a puck (first puck ever) in my vice as tight as I could. After a few minutes I went to take it out, but before I removed it I re-tightened the press and I found I could now tighten it quite a bit more.
@@buckygoldstein9256 yeah some people use a jack and lift their cars or similar to get pressure and my press isn’t enough pressure to turn my pucks into an almost glass like a 20 ton but it works well enough for my purposes. So did you break them up and do a burn test?
@@E85_STI They're drying at the moment. I started with 400 grams of material (chemicals) and got 12 pucks which weigh 403 grams. Not sure how to account for that as there was some loss from powder sticking to pans, etc. It must be the water I added. I'll weight them again after they dry. How long do you let them dry? I did a burn test after 12 hours of milling and another after 24 hours. The extra time shows an improvement. This is a first time for me and I'm sure I'll come up with better techniques. The die I'm using is made from 2 inch PVC and ABS tubing with a couple of 2 inch round disks, 1 an aluminum disk from the internals of an old disk drive and the other a piece of 2 inch brass that I got from the thrift store for a buck. It looks like it was some machinist student's project, or maybe just end stock waste. I wanted to see if I could even do this before spending a lot of money on equipment that I might not use. ;-)
apakah red gum itu red iron oxide?
Is flash legal for personal uses?
@@TheMulletMafia1 so back when I use to buy the stuff it wasn’t an issue but now sites are limiting people from buying the two chemicals together so who knows now but I’ve never made much of it and I don’t travel or sell anything when I did make it but I haven’t made anything in a while
@@E85_STI people say it’s legal and people say it isn’t. It’s kinda like a who knows kinda deal ain’t it?
@@TheMulletMafia1 so it isn’t a problem in small quantities of course and not making it for manufacturing but lots of people make it on UA-cam with no issues so if you do make it do it like 10 grams at a time that’s what I did to be safe because even 10g can take your hand off and in my videos I’m using under a gram to fill these little 1/4” tubes.

A home air conditioner does not blow the hot air from inside your house to the outside. Hot/warm air is recirculated through a heat exchanger and then the same air is blown back into your house in the form of dry cold/cool air.
@@cleophusfowler I know what you mean by heat exchanger which is the evaporator coil but the evaporator provides the cold air simultaneously the warmer return air from the house is absorbed into the refrigerant which actually carries the heat from the house to the condenser where it’s expelled with the use of the OFM and that vapor condenses back and and the process starts over. Of course there’s the TXV and compressor. This little water heat exchanger couldn’t cool a room but can help in a small space.
@@E85_STI Yes that's correct. I would like to know your thoughts on powering an icybreeze using a 12v lawn mower battery. I attend a lot of car shows and would like to extend my run time significantly over the 10ah, 12v battery supplied. I saw a 35ah 12v battery for a lawn tractor for 69 bucks on line. What are your thoughts on this? Thank you for your time.
You seem to be pretty smart, but you’re incorrect on your water pump. You should not push that water through the radiator that fast all is gonna do is the bleacher ice quickly
@@larryfoster2628 so I have two different 12 v pumps for it the faster one I have because at the time I had a beater car I was using before I fixed the ac so I had this one that I would only use for 30 mins or so daily but for the extended use like at the beach I could swap out the pumps. With the faster moving water it would remove more heat in the car especially on hot Texas summer days at 100+ degrees that’s the only reason I did it and got the icy breeze. Fast forward to now I haven’t used my icy breeze in over a year but it stays in my house well preserved. You are right though about the ice with the faster pump.
hey i have an icybreeze and i wanted to modify the pump like you did on yours. but i noticed the icy breeze hose is way smaller than the hole on the new pump. did you need to change the hose or modify something? thanks!
@@lilpn0yxtc966 honestly I don’t remember that being a problem but yes some of the 12 volt pumps have larger openings but I would have to look at mine and see what I used but the pump on my sits on the bottom of the chest behind that plastic piece for the tube
I'm glad to see the prices starting to come back down I just bought the platinums and the growlers for 88 bucks here in Kentucky. They were selling for 125 thru 150 last year.
Eastern red cedar 75-15-10? Are you getting any Cato's with that black powder? I have Eastern red cedar did the same thing and I keep getting Cato's. I even have New England paper tubes and everything. They're not even attempting to go up it's just an immediate Cato. It's a Woody's black powder 4 oz kit, it's supposed to be with a clean nozzle but I'm not using a clean nozzle just ramming the black powder as is. What do you suggest?
Try 60/30/10, it's a slower mix for rockets and works well for me. I also ball mill my mix for 12 hours or so then wet with 50/50 alcohol water and granulate through a screen to get an even mix.
You must use magnesium blud
