The turntable your using is one of those suit case ones. The issue isn’t that your vinyl is skipping, it’s that those turntables are made very cheaply, and the counter weight for the needle is almost always way to heavy or too light. On top of the vinyl actually being suspended in air. You’ll warp your vinyls by using this turn table because the whole vinyl isnt supported. Placing a penny on the needle is a very bad idea, it’s way too heavy for the vinyl and your needle will carve into the vinyl like butter. DO NOT DO THIS.

Dont put pennies on your pins, they increase the pressure causing scratches, if you want to fix skipping here are some solutions: Keep in mind, that some skipping are made from scratches, which in a way are irreversible. -Record Cleaning solution and velvet brushing (cleans grooves) -Carbon fiber brushing before playing (reduces pops) -Record sleeves to protect and prevent scratching. -tooth pick and magnifying glass (I do not recommend this one but it is an option) - just handle the records with more care next time to prevent scratching. if you want to buy a crosley under a budget that's is 100% understandable, but if you are going for collecting vinyls over time I recommend you save for one that's better. (such as a Audio technical LP60x) I got my record player for sale at about 100 dollars compared to the usual 160 hope this helped a few people.

I've seen comments that doing this will damage your vinyl but personally for me, I left it on for a minute or two and took it off and it ended up not skipping anymore? This works just don't keep the coin on the whole time you play your vinyl
