DREAM KITCHEN
So glad you like it! Pretty stoked on how it turned out
It’s a perfect little kitchen! 😊
@@melissaconley7324thanks!
Nice cabinets! So much storage! Also good job adjusting to the quirks of the van! Side note, when you dropped your phone I definitely thought you fell!😅
@@melissaconley7324 haha glad I didn’t fall 😂 but yea we wanted all the storage!
The cabinets are looking SO GOOD
aww thanks! I'm pretty happy with them
Great video mate! Any issues with condensation? Also, what's the lowest temperature it gets to where you are? Where i am it'll be 1 degree celcius at the lowest. Thanks
@@billyhawkins9273 thanks! We haven’t finished the van yet but condensation is definitely a concern. We plan on running a de humidifier and we built our walls in a way that won’t trap moisture behind them so the hemp insulation can properly breath and benefit from the dehumidifier. As far as cold, again haven’t had a true test but the past couple mornings have been 21 Fahrenheit (-6 Celsius) and with no one in the van all night so no body heat or anything the van still feels fairly comfortable inside. We’ll be installing some insulated curtains and window covers as well as a diesel heater for the living space because we plan on taking it to Colorado where it’s much colder 🥶
@trey_rides Sounds good! Yeah, a small dehumidifier is defo the way to go I reckon. I haven't seen anyone mention it in Van Build videos on UA-cam but when I do mine I'm thinking of 4-6 containers of salt to absorb any moisture. Salt is so cheap so may be worth a shot. I saw 1 guy who drilled a hole in the bottom of his van as well as having a fan on the ceiling (like you have). I highly recommend hot water bottles if you can heat water by the way. 2 of those wrapped up in the bed in the evening will stay warm for hours
@ that’s a great idea!
Hi Trey, I just found your van build series and I'm watching them all now. I just wanted to let you know that the videos in the Playlist in backwards order, not chronological. For example, when I finish watching Ep.4, it transitions to Ep.3, then Ep.2, etc. I think the order you're putting them in might be causing that, but I'm not 100% sure. I just wanted to mention it so you could look into it, and will likely result in more views as it'll make it easier for your viewers to binge watch like me 😁 great videos, keep it up!
Thanks I appreciate the support! And thanks for pointing that out, I’ll definitely fix it 😅
He said "It looks great in my mind". 😅 too funny
She lives!!!😅
i estimate that within a year of use, because you have no vapor barrier, your van insulation will be full of condensation and mold. sad really. it looks like an interesting build otherwise.
@@alzathoth definitely something we’ve thought about and been concerned about, we plan on running a de-humidifier and monitoring humidity levels inside the van. We also used hemp wool as insulation because it is resistant to mold!
All the mini projects😮💨
Got to get em all done
Walls are looking SO GOOD
@@macgconley thanks! It’s starting to look like a home
Sorry , but this Video was 20 min to Long , Never seen Your Previous Videos I wonder ?? What do you do For a Living? I Just honestly hope People Don't use this Video for example , It might be Ok to Watch but are lots better Just Watching 1 couple of Videos with Professional's or Not But that know how to build and doing Right ,,, Watching this here kind of Videos make people all mess up doing things wrong , But poor people watch a Video on UA-cam .. But Poor folks look Out there's better ways than others , Doing things wrong ca be much worse , and cost more Money .. Sorry to you man , But don't quit your day Job..
@@CharlesBrochu sorry you didn’t enjoy the video, theres many and definitely better ways to build a van but with the tools and space we have this is how we’re building it to work for us. Thank you for the feedback though and happy holidays!

Love riding 1/4notch and Brushy. Yeah, during the summer here it is early morning, and evening, or sufferfest during the day. You missed the YMCA jumps at Brushy, and Gnargasm east of the Dam. If you like jumps, Station Mountain MTB Park, Reveille Peak, and rocky Hill ranch (part of freeride512 group) will be the best bets.

is that an I9 Hydra I hear?
@@louviere69 haha they’re I9 Torch hubs, but the I9 Hydra is a dream hub for me! Definitely getting a pair on my next bike
@@trey_rides I had actually wanted a torch because I like the sound but my shop said that it basically isnt made for MTB's anymore. I got the Hydra and although I was mad at the $600 buy and install price on my Pivot Switchblade, I cant live without it. Kinda considering it for my gravel bike, its annoying not to have it.
I would ❤ to do that one day!
My brain 🧠 : just saying random ahh stuff
Same bro 😂
Okay
Okay
If you want downhill riding checkout Spider Mountain and Station Mountain Bike Park. They're only about 400 ft top to bottom but still a ton of fun. Staying in Austin, I have 2 recommendations: Mt Lakeway/Canyonlands for something harder with some nice flow trails. Start on the Highland Village Dr side (theres a parking lot there) and begin with the Rough Hollow Flow Trail. From there you can take Cat's Climb up. From there you have some options. Take Camel Back to Ken's plunge which is a flow trail back down, or go past Ken's Plunge to the main Mount Lakeway trail. When you get to the top of Mount Lakeway trail you can either take Serenity down or continue on the Mount Lakeway trail down. Both take you to a service road. There's also Rocka Rolla, Snot Rock it, and Habenero which are all fun downhill runs but getting to them from where I recommended starting can take some time unless you use the service road. If you want something easier and more chill, checkout Walnut Creek. My personal favorites are Outer Log Loop, Powerline Flow Trail, Tangle of Trails loop, severe consequences, and bmx loop. Theres also Endo Valley and Root drop which are endurance lines.

Sounds like you like to eat steak but only have a budget for Roman noodles.
lol pretty much 😅 trying to keep this van. Hold on a tight budget
So then sell the left over hemp u may not make all back but ur helping someone else get they foot in who may be less fortunate sir
