Diesel heater powered by Grecell T-500 Solar Generator
Grecell T-500 powering a diesel heater with a booster pack. Booster pack only needs to be used on start-up and powering down the diesel heater, as it uses a lot more power which the Grecell T-500 will not accommodate. if you try just using the Grecell T-500, it will keep on shutting down the diesel heater with an error code. So far the GRE cell T-500 is a game changer, which I highly recommend getting one. I bought mine on Amazon.

Hey do you still have it? I have an 02 Highlander with 160K miles, I wanna take it to college with me (6HRS) way what to do?
Great vehicle. What do you mean what to do? Maintenance wise? Oil change, check coolant level, if brakes have lots of life left, and make sure tires are in good shape. Check coolant hoses for cracks, make sure battery is healthy and if alternator is charging properly. These cars can go far without issues.
@@tkclips506 hey! Okay So the starter just was changed, along with timing belt & the alternator. I also just got new breaks, tires a wheel alignment and a new battery. I just got my oil changed, last week and they checked my transmission level, motor life etc. My check engine light is on though but that is because my car needs struts I was going to get that sometime next month. Do you think it will be okay on the highway?
@@tkclips506also my mom is telling she don’t think it would be a good decision because if I bring it to college with me now, in two months for the summer time I have to drive it back but I keep telling her that it’s an Toyota and those cars are built to last!
@@randycausey5269 Ok, so a ton of work was done to it, you should be fine. Regarding the check engine light, it's not due to the struts, I have a feeling it's O2 sensor of some sort. Buy yourself an OBD2 Bluetooth reader on Amazon for around 20 bucks or so, download a free app and it will tell you what the check engine light is. Is yours a V6? The V6 3.0 engines are much better than the 4 cylinder ones, either way it's a Toyota, they just go.
@@tkclips506 okay so, my mechanic just checked my car about ten minutes ago. He told me that the car is fine but I do need structs/shocks. I have two options I can either do the trip or leave the car down here and for the summer time come back and it will have the struts, idk what to do is structs/shocks something that can wait?
The Highlander is very popular in Cambodia almost all of them are import from US and Canada as a used car then they refresh it and sell more then $10000US depend on which year.
Seems like it is loved by many around the world. The V6 3 liter engine is the best out of all of them in my opinion. Do you own one?
2001 Limited@@tkclips506
I have a 2002 which a lot of modifications
What modifications have you done?
Are you going to re-apolster the seats? Its not that hard, i did it on mine...
No, I have sold the car. I do miss it a little. I have since bought a 1997 LX450. Where did you buy the seat upholstery for yours?
@@tkclips506 A company in Texas that makes them in house and is equivalent to OE quality leather.. they were $160 for just the bottom. uS auto seat cover. I think they are the same as Richmond auto upholstery. You can also buy the fake leather ones for less than half the price if you want
@@tkclips506 that's a nice car too! I am tempted but my trips would double in fuel costs and I like how small the HL is
1982 Mercedes Benz W123 OM617 = Lasts Forever New S Class = Falls Apart When warranty expires
That is true, the OM617's keep going, truly amazing.
awesome car
Thanks. It was a great vehicle. I sold it since.
This limited model has the base model wheels
Yes, it has the winter set on. The limited rims are the summer ones. What year is yours?
@@tkclips506 I don’t have one but I’m just pointing it out

Привет. Люблю старые мерседесовские дизеля. Досихпор живой. У меня 124 ом601 пробег уже больше миллиона километров. Отличная машина.
Mine is a 2012 that has 200k kms. Feels barely broken into, runs like new. However I was looking at a 2001 Highlander Limited for a friend. Saw one in top shape but with 450k kms. Owner has all maintenance records since 2001. Was wondering if it was worth getting it for $5000?
2012 with 200k KMS, well done. As for the 2001 Highlander, I think the price is a little steep and would try to bring the price down a bit. Service records and KMS are one thing, but check the under carriage and body for it's condition.
Idle needs to be higher. You need to clear the drains by the hood hinges. I see standing water there. Also hood hinges need lubing. Seemed the crank speed was a bit low, need to check that.
Good eye, I've cleared the drains after that video was made. The battery is an old battery, the vehicle sat for months without trickle charging, hence the low crank speed. Not in perfect shape but definitely a reliable vehicle. Do you own a w123?
@@tkclips506 well, I was a mercedes tech starting in 1971. Through the years I owned my own mercedes repair shop. I sold it in 2006 and retired. And yes, I bought an 85 one for my parents in the early 90s. I really went through it before giving it to them. I got it back around 2008. I kept it for a year and then sold it to my niece who needed a good car. And even now, its still seen around. It had the sweetest sounding engine I had ever heard and it would accelerate like no ones business. I'm still awed by it. Normally you have to do a few tricks to get them running properly. So yea, I'm very familiar with them.
@@georgecurtis6463 you definitely know your stuff regarding W123 models. That is what I love about these om617's, as long as the maintenance gets done they just keep on ticking. What a great story, thanks for sharing.
@@tkclips506 sadly I probably have forgotten a lot these last near 20 years. But sometimes looking at videos a thought comes up. Did you know why that cigar fuel hose is there for ?
@@georgecurtis6463 you still got it, just stored away 😊. What is the cigar fuel hose for? Not sure which hose you are referring to.
That's my car! Same color, but mine has a good windshield. Mine=167K miles. Love it, though thinking of going to a pickup.
Great video, thanks!
It's such a great and reliable car that it gets boring over time lol. I'm glad you enjoy the Highlander. The windshield got replaced eventually and I since sold it. Which pick up will you buy?
I purchased the 07 Tundra SR5 4x4… it now has 287k runs great. I change the engine oil every 3k. Keep the truck till it or I die first.
@@RamBo-uu9so That truck will will be around for a long time by the sound of it. Having a true 4x4 is great, gives you that edge, especially a truck that can haul. I ended up purchasing a 1997 LX450, so far I'm loving it, but a gas guzzler.
Our 06 has 332k runs great!!
Amazing vehicle indeed, so great and reliable, it just keeps going. Wow, 332K and an 06, broken in nicely.
@@tkclips506 3k oil changes, 40k diff, 60 k tranny and a good carbon/oil cleaning of the throttle body and intake manifold.
@@RamBo-uu9so well taken care of, love it
