90 Proof Band comes to Palatine Park, Germantown, New York. Rocking country covers that will get you jumping. The crowd was light because the forecast was heavy rain. The rain held out for the most part. At about halfway through the second set we had our own little Woodstock as the rain started to fall. Not deterred we pressed on till the show was over. Yeah, we were supposed to fish ocean wrecks. Wind and waves were going to be a pain in the azz so they stayed in the bay. Which meant smaller and less fish to catch. Still met some nice folks, and had a great time as you can tell by the singing. You can't catch 'em from the couch!

It’s called sea robin it’s basically one of the dinosaurs of fish. It’s very good meat, but it has a lot of bone.
Back in the day we would use the backstraps for bait, but now the bigger ones are used to eat. Times do change.

What is that fish
It is a sea robin. Was always a trash fish growing up. The backstraps are very tasty and we harvest the big ones.

Just want to say we had a great time aboard the Laura Lee Express. We will be back again to hopefully get offshore for some Seabass and quality Fluke fishing. The mates Jim, and Dylan, were awesome even though I kept calling Jim, Johnny. He didn't mind and after a while it became a joke. The other folks aboard were there to have fun as well, and everyone had a good time. We didn't go home with a keeper, but we met some new friends and had an awesome day on the water! Remember, You Can't catch 'em from the couch! Get out there to support your local charter boats and put some fresh fish in your freezers. We only live once.
