First time out at ECR, and we are running it backwards with The Driver's Edge. Best time was a 2:18.72, with a 2:15.52 optimal. Still a lot of time left to gain. Boiled my brake fluid twice, then flushed it, but unfortunately my track tires were dead by then, and I switched to my street PS4S for the last two sessions. I boil it the second time after I set my PB on the last hot lap here. 2023 RS...

Some laps of MSRH. Car is stock with Potenza Sport tires that now need to be replaced. Ran out of fuel near the end and the engine cut power once out of the carousel exit.

Stock 2023 Audi RS3 with Potenza Sports tires. Drivers Edge Blue Group. Third Sunday session. Unfortunately my SD card was full and I lost the footage for the last session. Ended the day with 4 consecutive laps in the 1:54 and 1:55s.

Thanks for posting best lap time in the description. Did you figure out the brake issue? Are you on steel or ceramic? Really, enjoy these videos and nice driving.

Still having those brake issues. The rotors were hotspotting. I have the steel brakes. I'm checking with Girodisc.
What tires are you using?
This was on the Conti ECF. This was my first time at COTA and I was being pretty easy on braking the whole time because my braking was causing my car to shake. Rewatching this I also just realized I lost about 2 seconds to turning on my GoPro in the middle of my fastest lap. Oops.

Loving these RS3 track videos. Can you use a better bake fluid to keep it from boiling or is there a fix for this? Nice driving!
Yeah I was still on the stock DOT4 fluid. Pretty much any other DOT4 should be fine.

Not a lot of steering corrections, which is great, but what tires were those? They sounded like tortured street tires.
You're right. Stock Bridgestone Potenza Sport. 3rd on them and they were already dead here. Though some of the noise is just the track surface, like on the keyhole.
Nice drive! How low did the gauge read when the fuel starved? I want to write that down in my notebook.
I think my fuel light comes on the lap before, so take that as a warning, haha. There actually isn't a gauge in the dash, but I think I was probably about at 1/8th tank when it happened. I think I should refuel if I am under 1/3 tank before I go out.

@@keithemanuel1072 yeah it was my first time as well and it was definitely a fast paced group for sure especially the mustang with the big wing one of my buddies from San Antonio robs
Audio & video quality is really good. Is that camera mounted to your helmet? Is it a GoPro?
Yep! All the video and GPS data is from a helmet mounted GoPro. I did buy a windscreen for the GoPro for next time, all well as an ODB2 reader for more telemetry. Only downside on the helmet mount is that the gforce data isn't great.
@@keithemanuel1072 the great thing about that view is you can see your hands working, which you don't get with a windscreen mount. IIRC the RS3 seats have integrated headrests, which look cool but don't allow for a headrest-mounted camera mount. Maybe suction cup mount to the sunroof glass???

@@peterhaas9650 yeah, the integrated headrest also mean I can't put a quickfit harness either. My one main complaint. I haven't been able to find a suction cup mount long enough. My car does record gforce though, maybe I can get that through ODB2. If not, I'll probably just put a phone on the rear window.

Thanks! Yeah the S550 Mustangs are great on track. My dad is driving the Orange one. We had similar times throughout the weekend. The one with the big wing was flying. I'm excited to see what the car can do with better tires. The Potenza Sports are bit too street focused. They took some damage.
