    This is not a command tank (Panzerbefehlswagen), it is an artillery observer tank (Panzerbeobachtungswagen). Thanks for the review!

    Have you tried to use the end of a paint brush instead of tweezers to manipulate the wet paper? Thinking it might not tear so easily.

    Good tutorial for cheap tarps, wipes can be used as well just be sure no design or writing is visible.. hair nets from deli/ meat departments can be used for artillery camo nets, plane and an OP tent area. Pull to loosen so not too tight, water down glue solution same use for folds..

    There are a few issues with this kit I found whilst building it. The lower Hull has the wrong bump stops should be Panzer IV ausf H type. Instructions tell you to install splash guard around cupola but not present on the real vehicle,201 should have the turret numbers on rear/left and right but the kit only supply's enough for left and right. Also if you are planning to build this kit as 201 this vehicle had zimmerit on the Hull and front mantlet.

    Thank you. I am in the process of studying and learning this technique. The triangle is actually quite good for a German zeltbahn.

    I have used 0.3mm self adhesive lead sheeting. It crumples and creases very realistically and is much easier to apply.

    nice method! I use old gauze bandages to create camouflage nets. knot in strands and soak in diluted acrylic paint. When they are dry, pull the threads apart a little and cut off the straight ends to make them look old, then follow almost the same steps as with the paper.. moisten with water and white glue, place, shape, let dry

    It would be interesting to see this 1/72 scale model next to the 1/35 scale model of the Tiger I... Based off this video it seems to be close in scale which means this vehicle in real life, the Flakpanzer Mouse, would have been huge...

    • @jlpmodels2119
      @jlpmodels2119 2 роки тому

      Yes it is a massive beast comparing it to my 1/35 tiger it's about 3/4 the size of it. That's why it's great to be able to get a vehicle like this in a smaller scale other wise I would have no space to store it 😅 Thanks for watching the video.

    Border models instructions are almost as bad as Dragon kits. Like Dragon kits absolutely great detail, great quality styrene. No real injector issues on plastic parts or flash issues either. Just Horrid ,Vague, Instructions to build the damn thing. I bought their first kit a Panzer IV Ausf G. Absolute horrid instructions. They really need to address this issue. I won't buy anything from them until they do. I really would love to buy this kit you reviewed , and other Border kits as well , but I just can't get past their vague instructions. I dont have these issues with Rye field , or Mini Art, or Takom. Border could learn from them. Great , informative Review ! Best regards.

    • @jlpmodels2119
      @jlpmodels2119 2 роки тому

      Yes Jim I must agree with you, it's definitely not what one would hope for when it comes to instructions. Allot of optional parts within the kit and they give no explanation of how or why one should use them so unless your willing to sit down go quite slow research and trouble shoot I think it's a kit that might present a few issues. When I get around to building it leave an update on the channel on how it went together and if the instructions where correct, Thanks for watching the video it's much appreciated.

    My experience is to soak the paper in water only no Pva necessary imho. Therefore It won’t stick. Packaging paper s a bit thicker it ‚ll give good results too.

    S-Model has got generally quite nice detail, but Heller's Somua is better model :) Products of S-Model are more figures for gamers than for modellers.
