It seams like you don't push the car to its limit. Isn't it? Sometimes you just rolling by the inertia and didn't let the car to accelerate to the end on the long straights?

maybe when GM decides its time to move on to the mid engine platform and real DCT transmission it will be a real competitor for the European heavy weights. for now they would have to just settle for the last spot on the podium.

Thanks for posting this. Im looking into getting an A8L 4.0T. Most of the attention goes to the S8 on performance so this really shows the capabilities. Where the tires stock because they where screaming coming into the curves lol. And I noticed some brake squeal after a few laps. Did you get any brake fade? Thanks again! Good video.

Looks like the Viper walked the GTR on the straights but the GT3 reeled it in some corners. Both beautiful cars I would love to own, nice driving!

918 driver was no pro. In real life Z51 no where near GT3 on a road course. New Z06 is impressive, but get your facts straight.

you know the z06 already put down a faSTer lap than the 918 at VIR both with professional drivers? Chevrolet has been racing over 100 years.. won le mans before Porsche build the first 911. They would not launch a Z06 that cannot hold up to track work.. plus a z51 corvette can easily hang with a gt3 on a track. bottom line..this was a driver who was not capable of taking the z06 to its limit. In your hands the Z06 would make your GT3 look like a camry.

It's more then just the supercharger but the small size of it. This Z06 torque hit is very instant. Unfortunately it will generate hotter temps because of it.Like they say every good has a bad. If many have issues with heat soak on track. The aftermarket has many options from ZR1 and Z06 that can work on this newer model. Good thing about it cost isn't very high. Yeah it's a set back either way but rather safe then sorry.

He was running R compound tires. It was fast. So is your GT3.

Heat soak may not be as much of an issue with the direct fuel injection reducing the risk of pre-detonation problems. They have also engineered a lot of air flow/cooling passages into the car that are actually functional for down force as well. I still think the GT3 with an experienced driver has the advantage.

Why the audio is only on the left side? Its so annoying. Maybe thats the reason why you don't get enough views.
