are you really convinced that a god exist? We test everything with science. Why would you plead for something for which we can't test?
what???

if you make up something that cannot be demonstrated, then I can claim that your something is imaginary.
I don't understand what you are saying. I do believe you have Spirit bc how else would you communicate?
I have no idea what a spirit is.
@@rjskeptic5273 it's that part of you that no one can see with a 3 dimensional substance. It orchestrates your 3 dimensional self.
@@grmalinda6251 I have no idea what that means.
@@rjskeptic5273 what is an idea? Love ? Friendship? Enlightenment?
@@rjskeptic5273 I'm sorry but I need to sleep now. My heart is giving out and my strength is leaving me. I'm trying to hang on but my insurance got mixed and I no longer have access to health care. Been struggling since Christmas.
I can't make myself believe that which i see as foolish.
What do you mean by, god ? If you speak of old guy in sky jargon then i can say , amen to that.
The classical meaning of god. All powerful, creator of the universe. No different from Santa Claus.
@@rjskeptic5273 well, no saint created the universe, that's for sure. I do not believe that so called god.
There's a big difference. God creates all that is visible from nothing that's visible. Saint Nicholas was a man who had such a generous heart that the church declared him a saint. I hope this finds you well. 🕊 I believe in Santa Claus, as he's now called. But not everything that is said about him.
Your not making any sense RJ
What do you say is the meaning of nature?
All that exists.
There is evidence. You reject it , that is your choice .
I don't reject it. I think it is insufficient.
@@rjskeptic5273 what's lacking?
@@grmalinda6251 evidence for anything supernatural.
@@rjskeptic5273 mathematics.
@@grmalinda6251 Maths is a language we made up to describe reality.
'' Our lives are involved with one another; through innumerable interactions they are linked together. No one lives alone. No one sins alone. No one is saved alone.'' Pope Benedict XVI SpeSalvi Quote from A Hikers guide to Purgatory By Michael Norton Pg 257
Where does all this come from? I have always found that there is always a reason. Ask a small child found in the kitchen with grape jelly everywhere What in the world happened? He responds, '' I dunno, It jus happen!''
Yes. A scientific explanation, not a supernatural one.
@@rjskeptic5273 what is the scientific explanation for the reason things exist? Please
@@grmalinda6251 there are quite a few hypotheses floating, all with evidence. However, the mechanism for the transition from absent the universe to the expansion of the universe is unknown. Many theoretical physicists agree with quantum fields having evidential weight.
Lol. We have figured out what causes the bushes to rustle and wind to blow long before we could read. Lol.
If you still believe in a god, then, unfortunately, you still don't know what causes the rustling in the bush.
How do you account for things to exist? Whet reason is there for stuff to exist?
Cosmology.

@@rjskeptic5273 where does the cosmic come from? How? Accidental? Who had the accident?
@@rjskeptic5273 theoretical is a theory not a proven fact. There has been many. They come and go with time. I have no reason to place my faith in it.
@@grmalinda6251 Watch the video. Better faith in science than an immaterial, fictitious mind.
So is mathematics and likewise it fits reality better than anything else.
Mathematics is a language, like English. It's descriptive. Numbers don't exist. Concepts are biological. The contents of our concepts are imaginary.
@@rjskeptic5273you say concepts are biological and God is a concept. Well now, that's interesting. I mean, that is an interesting concept that you have about God and biology.
@@grmalinda6251 Yes. We conceive biologically. The how. God is a concept. The what.
The Bible tells me, there's no free will outside of or apart from Jesus the Christ. You were baptized but then you lost your faith, so now you have no choice. If you want, you can seek it now, but the opportunity is only for a time.
There is no better claim as to why stuff exist that I can believe.
How do you exist?
Moran cerf
One of his observations for promoting free will is the pause we sometimes make while making up our minds. That pause is also determined by the reason(s) for pausing. He has not provided a third option for why we choose what we choose. The two options I explain are determined for reasons or randomness.
@@rjskeptic5273 why should I consider what he teaches?
@@grmalinda6251 I thought you were supporting his position on free will. Actually I think his position is compatablism.
Idk what empirical evidence is but if you Google for that kind I'm sure you can follow the rabbit trail.
What rabbit trail?
How come I never get an answer to my questions?
Here is an explanation for empirical. Whatever can be verified through your senses.
Word etymology reveals that religion is related to ligament. It helps in connecting and in the case of religion, it helps connect the physical to the spiritual. Mind / brain .
How is "the physical to the spiritual" synonymous with "Mind / Brain?" And by the way I don't know what you mean by spiritual.
Actually I see it the other way around because , I have more faith in Jesus the Christ and his church than I do in any other. I believe we are made in his image or as I like to say, we are figments of his imagination and he has a vivid one beyond all telling.
And what you have told me comes from your imagination. Your faith, your belief, your description, all figments in your imagination.
@@rjskeptic5273 not completely.
@@grmalinda6251 which isn't imaginary?
@@rjskeptic5273 my understanding is formed from all that you listed and more. It also comes from my experience and research and prayers. When my faith begins to waver, I ask for help to strengthen it.
What god do you know of that gets offended from when people sin?
Read the Catholic Catechism 1850 on the definition of sin.
@@rjskeptic5273That's not what I asked. Read the definition of the adjective "offended."
@@Jay4Fun4Ever God the father, son and holy spirit. The Christian god. That god is automatically implied in the catholic catechism.
@@Jay4Fun4Ever btw. Offended is not an adjective but a verb. The adjective is offensive.
@@rjskeptic5273 Offended is also an adjective. An example would be, "Alex was offended," or "I was offended." "a god was offended : an offended god."
No fault of my own? On what basis?
Every action you take is determined by the reasons for that action. Whatever the reason for me turning left rather than turning right determined my action.
That is your claim.
Is testimonial evidence not enough?
If you are convinced that improbable events occur based on stories, then is there anything you couldn't believe?
