LV8 CPU doesnt jump and doesnt drive impact, but LV7 Ryu is a complete degenerate who DI and jumps like a monkey (just like the avarage player) LV7 CPU, specifically Ryu (for some reason he is more degenerate than Luke), is very good and almost mandatory practice
The thing that irritates me about drive impact is that only one of these (the backdash) was actually a punish. The rest were preemptive or reactionary. Meaning you have to guess and or be looking for it. It reminds me of superdash from DB Fighterz. A hella scrubby mechanic for newbies that don't know or care how to play neutral. I'm not looking forward to it. Edit: See below for proof that scrubs won't be able to live without it.
drive impact gets old very fast and you can react quite easily after trying a bit. That considering you're not smashing buttons all the time, but then, its your fault
@@tapatorta No shit you dolt. The problem is that DI is a braindead option. Even worse, if you just get unlucky, you might poke right as they're doing DI. Good luck reacting to that. @@that_5.7_jonathan99 I totally understand you, really, but let me help you with that. The first concept you have to figure out is that when combos requires inputs, you don't have to be super accurate, they just have to be "there". Try this: Let's do this super easy combo, d/f HP, f,df,f HP. Seems complex right? Well it's not. Set classic controls, pick Ryu, press down/forward HP(Heavy Punch) and immediatelly after press it again. basically just spam d/f HP. You don't need to press f,df,f because in df HP there's already all the inputs you need. Now let's try with qcf and qcb moves, like the Hadoken, wich is d,df,f and a punch. You don't have to press every single directional button, Just pass through the down button to the forward button pretty fast. Let me know if it helped
Right, down, down-right. Think of it like pressing right and throwing a hadoken, but all in one motion. Once you get that you can worry about input cleaning later
Think of the hadouken input, but do a forward input before it. Also think of motion inputs as one motion interpolating from direction to direction, like quarter circles are a smooth motion from down to forward, following the circular shape of the joystick. Although, Shoryuken motion is a little less smooth lol, just try and move to the next input immediately, and read your inputs to see what you’re missing or possibly mistimed.
Heres the ultimate cheat to doing low moves into shoryuken, Input your low attack as DOWN FOWARD MK. Hit the DOWN FORWARD as you press MK button. Then hit Down FOWARD PUNCH and the previous DF input should buffer the first input of DP. This makes it so that you only really have to press DF Punch to link DP. It akward at first but youll never mistakenly fireball and it super EZ when you get it down. SO press DF + MK at the same time, then DF HP to link DP after. EX bc DF DF Punch will DP and the DF from you MK will count !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That's the thing about modern controls, you can't! :D You have to learn classic controls to the long combos like these. With modern controls you can only do the simple inputs and short auto combos the game gives you because it's made for beginners.
@the_Al-Khemist sounds like gatekeeping to me and that nerds are just butthurt more people are having access to something they feel they had to work their whole lives for, which is ridiculous and petty beyond belief. I have been playing Street Fighter since the beginning, I adore Third Strike and even I see a big place AND need for Modern Controls. Not everybody is blessed to have fast hand eye coordination and can instantly remember which button does which at the fraction of a millisecond. I have so many go to combos I have built into my muscle memory and even I can forget sometimes. It's fun to be able to play a fighting and pull off so many cool movements without all the aggravating micromanagement. Not everyone can be Diago or Justin Wong
If you can save 1 use of vt until the end you can go for something more optimal (but you might not need to) j.hp, cr.hp xx h.stomp, st.hp xx h.red fireball, l.dp xx super, l.tatsu, h.dp xx vt2
Actually if the Ed's timing is correct on this, it trades with 3 frames, and in his favor (+35). Here the Ed your playing against and the bot you've set up is just late on the cancel.
This is unique for sure but most of these scenarios you would want these punishes not to stun because of the scaling. I guess it’s preference but id much rather have my opponent on next hit stun with low health in the corner rather than stunning them and doing not much damage.

Euhhhhh it's just a black screen 😅
How u do the lightning charging fire ball ?
The back heavy kick after OD blade kick doesn’t work anymore. You’d have to drive rush to get it to work again.
Bummer, but good to know. That looked a little messed up lol
it does work
Is it just me or does DP seem harder to pull off than in SFV?
nope, pretty the same from my experience. The trick for a faster and easier DP is to pre input a forward or down+forward depends on the situation.
c'est quoi la tech ici exactement ?
Tu presses hk après ton parry, si c'est perfect le hk sort, sinon t'es dans le recovery du parry normal et il sort pas

Damn, gotta pay attention to the options your opponent chooses… revolutionary… truly this is the death of fighting games
Drive impact is just one of the many options that you have in neutral, I don't see a problem with it.

Armor break?? How come I haven’t even seen that yet lol😮. Pretty useful 48-second video, thanks!
Because you need a character quick enough to go 3 attacks
3 attacks from most characters, but there are some moves that are dedicated armor breaks (I think only with OD gauge though, could be wrong)
My comment is pretty late but i always noticed honda can beat drive impact with one of his moves. I think it’s called thousand hands slap

We have different definitions of “optimal.”
useful combos would have been more appropriate
Excellent video. Ive been playing the "Game" and this video is very good Not completely optimized, but youre close.

Right, down, down-right. Think of it like pressing right and throwing a hadoken, but all in one motion. Once you get that you can worry about input cleaning later
Just keep practicing and eventually it clicks
