aww thank you so much!! 💓I've always wanted to start a youtube channel, but I desperately needed somewhere to talk about books because not many of my friends are readers haha! I also saw @sunnykimreads video about starting a channel which really motivated me to actually start making videos 🫶

right!! it annoys me that people on booktok advertise it as enemies to lovers so much haha. I don't think the enemies to lovers actually starts until the second book because of the ending of powerless, which they need to clarify when they say it's enemies to lovers 😭 thank you so much! 💖

Dark Rise and Dark Heir were my first 5 stars of the year but I do understand that Dark Rise Starts super slow but I swear it's so good

my theory is that people that read caraval first prefer that series and people who read OUABH first favor that series
honestly I think that's the case for a lot of series that have spin-offs! sometimes you just can't replace the characters you fell in love with first 💖

100% agree with a darker shade of magic ranking 😭it's just a timeless series!! caraval for me was also top tier but i totally get why the reviews are so split down the middle! the kiss of deception would go in memory loss because i just read the first book and immediately forgot about it the second i turned the last page 😆 really liked the prison healer and ive NEVER heard of akarnae but im so excited to give it a read now!!

I also read a lot of poetry, classics & mythology. I can recommend a lot of this type of literature if you are keen to branch out, but fantasy & magic realism remain mainstays. Have you read Gillian Mears? She is an outstanding horse-riding Australian novelist - irreplaceable.

This is me with KotLC, I was gonna do a reread of the whole series in preparation for book 10 but the next book that comes out STILL ISN’T THE FINAL BOOK and so I’m like “I can’t read the whole series again just for this new book” but at the same time I can’t just go in blind to the next book because I forgot what happened in the last one but I can’t just read the last one and then the new one because I asleep do t really remember what happened in the book before last and yeah it’s just a mess and I’m struggling fr 🙃
