Okay that Simplified Chinese Characters list used in Japan list wasn't complete yet. Here it is. 医欧殴奥横温画会学旧虚峡挟狭区径茎献恒黄号国参蚕惨残辞湿写寿叙将称条状触嘱寝尽随枢数声静窃浅践潜双壮争装属堕体担胆断虫昼点灯当党盗独届麦蛮宝万弥与余誉来乱礼励恋炉楼湾猫悦脱税携却脚惧凄刹 All differences and other things I found. In Japanese, the inner component of 画 is 由 instead of 田. For some reason, even though Japan simplified the characters 峽, 挾, and 狹 to 峡, 挟, and 狭, 夾 by itself does not seem to be simplified to 夹. The right component of 径 and the bottom component of 茎 is now 圣 in Japanese. The right components of 残, 浅, and 践 are now 㦮 instead of 戋. Basically 戋 with a line added. The bottom horizontal strokes of 写 and 与 are longer in Japanese, actually extending past the ㇉ stroke. The same applies to 寿 where the bottom horizontal stroke extends past the 丿 stroke. The upper right component of 将 is now 爫 instead of 夕. The right components of 称 and 弥 are 尓 instead of 尔 in Japanese.(乛 to 一). The bottom component of 条 has been changed from 朩 to 木 to better fit with the traditional style writing of Japanese. The same goes for 刹. Interestingly, the upper components of 恋, 蛮, and 湾 have been modified to look more like 亦 with the 丿 and 亅 strokes. The right component of 炉 is 戸 instead of 户, due to 戸 (一 on top) being the standard form used in Japanese as opposed to 户 (丶 on top) or 戶 (丿 on top). Speaking of 户, many Japanese regular (楷書) style fonts will display 戸 as 户, even though 户 can't support Japanese fonts. In Japanese, the dot on top of 隹 is written in the reverse direction (丿) This applies to any character such as 携. While most of the simplified characters here are shinjitai (simplified kanji used since the mid 1940s), the following kanji are not shinjitai, which means they were used ever since Japan started using Chinese characters. 猫携却脚惧凄刹 This is likely due to the fact that they already have many strokes. The component 辶 is written 3 different ways. The standard version, ⻌, has one dot on top, and it is used in Mainland China for simplified Chinese characters and modern Japanese. This alternative version, ⻍, has two dots on top and is used for old Japanese, specifically jinmeiyō kanji, kanji used for personal names*, uncommon Hyōgai kanji, Korean, and Vietnamese characters. *Note: if a Jinmeiyō or Hyōgai kanji with 辶 is a shinjitai kanji, it will use the one dot variant. This other alternative version, ⻎, has one dot on top, but the middle component is written as two ㇇ strokes. This is the form used for traditional Chinese characters, specifically in Taiwan and Hong Kong. For some reason, even though 冊 is the traditional form of 册, in Japan, 冊 is the simplified shinjitai form of 册. This is likely due to the fact that 冊 looks a little easier to write than 册. Similar instances happen to 幵 where the shinjitai form of said character is 开 Example: 硏→研. This also applies to 幷, with 并 being the shinjitai form. Example: 餠→餅. Yet the same thing happens to 竝, with 並 being the shinjitai form. In all regions except mainland China, the top horizontal stroke of 天 is longer than the lower horizontal stroke. It is vice versa in China, which also applies to 蚕, where the top horizontal stroke is longer in all other regions but the lower stroke is longer in China. Oh and one more thing. A form of kanji known as ryakuji exist. These were unofficial further simplifications of kanji used for quick handwriting and such. The ryakuji form of 門 is actually 门, China's simplified form of 門, but it is written slightly different. The top dot is now a short vertical stroke, now placed in the top middle of the 冂. It basically kind of looks like a square shaped power button or something. The ryakuji form of 興 is its Chinese simplified form, 兴. I don't understand why 兴 is not the official shinjitai of 興, even though 兴 is used as a component in many common kanji such as 誉 and 挙. The ryakuji form of 緊 is 紧, even though 紧 can't support Japanese fonts. The ryakuji form of 第 is 㐧. To wrap this all up, I will now be talking about Japanese shinjitai that were actually former simplified forms used in China until they were scrapped and replaced with their current form. 剤, 済, 斉 (former simplified forms used through 1935-1936 until being scrapped and replaced with 剂, 济, and 齐.) 覚 (also a scrapped former 1935-1936 simplified form. Back then they did not simplify major components like 貝, 見, 糸, or 言. 砕 and 酔 (former 1935-1936 simplified forms, also second round simplified forms.) 亜 and 悪 (former 1935-1936 simplified forms.) 絵 and 継 (former 1935-1936 simplified forms.) 両 (draft 1955 first round simplified form of 兩.) 粛 (former 1935-1936 simplified form.) 鉄 (former 1935-1936 simplified form.) 賛 (former 1935-1936 simplified form.) 辺 (originally a second round simplified form of 道 (dào) due to 刀 having a similar pronunciation (dāo) was given a new life, now being the shinjitai form of 邊.) 弁 (second round simplified form of 辨 and 辯, also being the Japanese shinjitai form of those exact characters.)
did you seriously read all of this? 💀
