Just found your channel. From one Hoosier homesteader and youtuber to another you’re doing great!
So awesome!!! 😍
❤❤🎉
Those little potatoes are worrh harveating. They go really well in soups or roasted even. They are very expensive to buy in the store.
I planted basic flowers in them. Marigolds. Not one did well. I dobt get it
Oh wow, that’s crazy. I wonder if it is just not enough soil or enough depth or something?
@AHoosierHomestead great question. At first mine were holding water but it was like 2 days after sowing so it didn't rot my roots or anything like that. I was starting to wonder if they'd been coated with something for the shipping/storage and my plants didn't like it, then thought it was me. Now I just really don't know. I'm going to try again. 🤷♀️
No luck with these either.
Sorry to hear that
And what happened?

You should really turn your mic up had to turn tv up to 70 to hear

Thanks for sharing this video with us. New friend here. Showing you support. You are going to have a nice harvest. I harvested my potatoes already. I was pleased to receive whatever i received. Happy gardening 😊
I hope so. Thanks for commenting! I will be doing another yt short live this week showing the harvest
Can you do an update video how the tower planter turned out?
I have a new short talking about how they didn’t end up performing very well
So "Lettuce" start on the bottom row first. :)

Watering them is a pain. Js
Theres a vid of a lady on yt cutting empty soda bottles n making the hole bigger n using a series of them in the middle to water all the tiers together in one shot
The liner looks like wool, what is it?
Professional horticulturist and contractor. All fabric is made from recycled plastic. Complete garbage.
No more fabric. Is plastic. Its worthless and ads plastics to the ground.
Weed fabric is the biggest waste of money with the smallest benefit to you. Is that roofing fabric?
No it’s not roofing material. I actually did a cheaper weed fabric my first year and it was very beneficial. Last year I didn’t and wish I had. This year I got one that is a much more durable material
@AHoosierHomestead weed fabric is a waste of money and material. The key to any good garden or flower bedded area is the correct amount of material to not allow weeds to germinate in the first place. Without sunlight, they can't grow. Over 30 years in the business and degree in agronomics from NCSU, I have never used or recommended that stuff. There are much better options for a natural deterent. Good luck to ya.
@@markrodrig56 Well, tell us what you used!!!!!
@@molly5292 pre emergent 2x a year early Feb and Sept is all you need. Prediamine 2g
@@AHoosierHomestead stop using weed fabric. 30+ years in the business and it's crap.
Will the chainsaw oil on the chips cause any problems?
I honestly don’t know, but I doubt it. I have just been trying to use the free stuff available, so I’m not extremely picky.
Yeah I just love the idea of eating veggies growing on a bed of bar and chain oil soaked wood pulp 😂
Lay the scraps on top of the ground, in the shade, cover with cardboard and some leaves and water it. All you got to do is lift the cardboard
Another great idea👆 but I also like making the compost
Seen them at Dollar Tree brought a whole bunch of them up, already brought my seeds from there and can't wait for spring to start growing the cold crops
Nice! We just had a crazy storm with a lot of wind come through last night and it stayed standing up, so I guess the rebar through the middle method worked great! 😃
I got some as well in green. Thanks for a great idea on keeping the tower stable!
How to grow giant sunflowers. Use a measuring tape 😒
What is your fencing made of?
Along the garden is my neighbors fence. They used metal roofing panels
Man those potatoes look amazing! Excited to see what else your garden will produce!
Thanks! They sure are delicious!
