Sammy and I went for a cold walk and he had his puppy boots on it was one degree.
Sadie got it right this time

This is what I had hoped she would have done the first video I shot. She went to our mailbox instead of stealing the neighbor's paper.

Did it work?
I'm definitely doing this thank you very much. You're the man!
So does it work?
Genius!
Gonna try it. Thanks
This will clog up your coils. Put the carpet by the return and use a liquid like ODOBAN and pour it on the piece of carpet so instead of sucking up dust and particles into your system it will suck in the fumes.
Yep, this completely negates the air filter. Honestly he could just pull out the air filter, and put the carpet in the return side of the filter housing, then slide the filter back in. It'll probably wear the filter faster, but it'll still smell good and not clog up the actual unit.
Great idea!
Nice idea! But too bad I have a boiler in my house so this won't work for me.
LIKEWISE LOL
Boiler heat is the way to go!
After I turned my furnace on the results seem very good. There's a nice subtle fresh smell in the house, not overwhelming. I think it will work great and I will let you know how long this might hold up. I'm hoping as heavy as I put that in the piece of carpeting that the smell is contained now in the furnace & ductwork, ready to keep my home smelling fresh.
MOVE OUT ROFLMOAO 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I see this as a way to replace the leaky nozzle on my 5 gallon gas jug, all I gotta do is add my own pump to this design and extend the line coming off of it. Thank you very much for the video inspiration!
That's awesome but I cant see anything but I got the idea
What a good dog!
Which fuel filter did you use?... model of lawn tractor?
That’s a lovely little solution. Do you have a link to that fuel filter. It’s such a good fit. Add a gasket or two and it would never leak either.
DAMMIT!! 🤬 After going bonkers searching for a decent remote tank, I just bought a $75 one that blows up like a football every time the sun hits it. I sure wish I had seen this video first.
thank you
Si può usare su un fuoribordo senza pompa della benzina? La pompetta nera può funzionare come depressione?
Great idea. Thanks for sharing
Love it!! Thank you!!!
81.00 for 3 gal.😢
Where did you buy the connector and bulb?
Brilliant idea my man! Cheers! 😊
How did you fix the soft spots? I am in a similar situation.
Can this be done without the filter?
Great job! Thank you for sharing
When i primed my external gasoline tank on my tohatsu 6hp outboard and once bulb inflated, if i press more on it, gasoline pees out of the black tiny hose in front, is that normal? My engine started to sputter at high rpms and im trying to figure out what could it be, engine is new 2023, Barely used, always run it dry after use ,(i dont drain carbuterator though, just let it run idle until it shuts down, any advise would greatly appreciated)
I am working on my late uncle's 1975 Trophy right now. I extended the freeboard 4 inches and raised the floor 2 inches. I replaced stringers with white oak.
Excellent Job man !!
great little boat
Yeah I'm about to do the exact thing. My old tank had the rubber push prime bellows deteriorate and I took it off, and there is a nice hole to stick a prime bulb in.
Great idea
Great Video! I have a 78 Tarpon as well, but in orange. Still going strong and its a great boat.
Nice idea mate
question, what did you use for a pickup ? what sits at bottom of tank,
Watch the vid man... 0:17
Genius
AWSOME great 👍🏻
Brilliant idea, thank you.
Aux test tank. Bless
Has this worked for you with good results Jim? I’ve been looking at the commercially available transom savers but they all seem to cater to either larger motors or trailers with a cross-brace. I only have a 15HP motor, and the trailer has no rear brace to attach the devices to - just rollers.
You are now my best friend thank you
A good solution, may just have to borrow that idea! Thanks for the vid!
the biggest negative i can see in making the tank that way. comparing to buying a commercially available fuel tank from a Marine Supply store is if you do fill up on the water or use Marina facilities. and God for bid a accident occurs Insurance Companies will investigate and rule they wouldn’t cover the damages the problem with that is if it’s in a Marina it can easily cause Miliions of dollars of damage to Expensive Waterfront realestate and Vessels i hate to sound negative on a good idea but i have owned many boats and several of them were Marina docked that usually require the Vessels to be insured by the Owners and Insurance Companies do whatever they can to not payout the bigger Claims so they have all these rules and do nots protecting them now i also kept boats on the Chesapeake Bay for years and Contaminating those Federally Protected Waters with Fuel or Oil spills can be hundreds of thousands of dollars in fines on top of the Property Damages i saw a teenager with a old car have a fuel tank leak and run into a Storm Drain that eventually flowed into the Chesapeake Bay Watershed incur tens of thousands of dollars worth of fines that his Grandmother was eventually being sued for by the State Of Maryland because of the Cleanup they attempted to handle the Grandmother was my neighbor and the stress almost killed her
Having a gas tank storing gas with it's standard cap should not violate insurance issues. Only use when running your outboard. This would minimze any liability.
Exactly what I was looking for thanks
where oh where can I find that filter??????
Nice job! This inspired me to try making one.
I tried this but the filter was air locking, maybe because the filter is almost vertical, and the motor slowed down and died. Could possibly lay the gas can on it’s side.
If the rubber suction bulb is a "2 way" valve, then it will not work. when the bulb is squeezed, one valve closes and one valve opens. You will not get a continuous flow unless you keep pumping or when one valve is leaking. Better if there is no rubber bulb or put a bypass with valve between the suction.
I made this with 1 3/4" diameter PVC. I think 2 1/2" to maybe 3" would be better.
Way to get things done!
like the idea
Nice! I always like to see money saving ideas and this is a good one. Thanks!
You’re the best ! I will try this soon. Thank you sir !
