We’re proud to spotlight three women-Ifeoma Medebem, Adeola Olanrewaju, and Chiemeriwo Tony-Ubah-selected through the Wetech Community to join the Heirs Technologies’ Supplementary Technical Engineering Program (STEP) by i-Academy!
Out of over 300 applicants, these women earned their place in this transformative program, joining a cohort of 46 talented trainees. Over six weeks of intensive training, they:
✅ Mastered key IT competencies in CompTIA Network+ and CompTIA A+ Core 2
✅ Solved real-world projects
✅ Received mentorship from industry professionals
✅ Collaborated on innovative solutions
This first STEP cohort represents a significant milestone in creating opportunities for women in tech, and we’re thrilled to have been part of this incredible journey.
In this video, you’ll hear from the participants themselves about their experiences, as well as from the inspiring Heirs Technologies team-Ivy Ikpeme-Mbakwem (VP, i-Academy) and Mercy Ajiboye (Programs Coordinator, i-Academy)-on how this program is shaping the future of tech talent.
Although the program has ended, its impact is just beginning. We hope their stories will inspire others in the Wetech Community to take bold steps in their tech careers!
