You are right about the European lager. In fact in Australia it is illegal to produce a wine or beer that does not have preservatives added. In Germany as you know its the opposite. Its illegal in Germany to produce a wine or beer (or bread or cheese) with preservatives. Also the Aussie water is full of lime etc. I am an Aussie BTW. I love your videos and I love your attitude towards building, without being a "goody-goody" perfectionist.

Mate you are making good solid progress. I was a gyprocker/plasterer for 15yrs. I personally would have used a steel frame wall system (like on commercial building site's) for your bath/toilet and around your fridge. Its a sturdy system & weighs a lot less than timber.

Why choose a very popular and one of the most expensive cities in the world to live in ? Go to the provincial cities or country towns ! Nurses are needed everywhere. Make sure that your bus has a shade cover over it and air-conditioning otherwise you will roast in Australia's hot summers. You can stay in caravan parks permanently, with a bus, and more cheaply in country towns away from the popular coast. Australia is having a housing crises at present due to big immigration numbers and other reasons. Everyone seems to want to live in the big cities where populations have greatly increased and therefore housing is limited. From an Aussie whose parents and older siblings emigrated from the UK after WW2 with only an allowable one hundred pounds, two small pieces of furniture and a trunk of personal possessions, including clothing. That was hard living ! -- especially with mum being pregnant with me as well !

Wow a lot of whinging. If it's that bad for you, well you know what to do. English have a reputation for complaining and it seems to be in your psyche. If you bothered to do your research properly you would've known we have a housing crisis because everyone wants to move here, surprise surprise. I've lived in the UK and there is no comparison. Have a good one - btw that's an American expression.

People move to other countries because they are unhappy with their lives. Ironic because they quickly become unhappy in their new country. Happiness isn’t about where you live. Everyone sees Australia as this paradise, it’s not a paradise anymore and it’s because there are too many immigrants coming here now. I’m not trying to attack you specifically I’m just saying in general. Australia is a lie that is sold to immigrants, the only reason we allow so many in is because politicians have to help their big business donors that donated to their campaigns. Locals are finding it hard to get jobs now because there are too many people around. Everywhere I go I hear foreign accents these days, it makes no sense at all and it’s sad. Australia is dying due to immigration.

Have you spent a winter in Canada? If not come spend one in the Rockies. Colder than down east (Ontario/Quebec/Atlantic) but it’s a nice dry heat out west.

this is the top 1 percent lucky people who can afford to rent in the inner suburbs, most commute from far away in the west, where its not so beautiful as the sydney people imagine

I went from making $35 casual hr working construction to now minimum wage, working in a air condition factory and I don't regret it, especially the upcoming Sydney summer.
