Nice town by the looks. I honesty am surprised by the amount of new shops and restaurants. It’s cool to see a town redevelop itself!

We used to call the tourists to the area "Berry Pickers". They were easily identified by the way they mispronounced the local place names such as L'Anse, Baraga, etc. At least you pronounced L'Anse correctly! ;-)

Go get some of that Terrtoast at the bakery and do a review on it

Thank you so much for sharing, I have been in Butler a few times, I am from WI also I was born and raised in Milwaukee and then moved up north about 200 miles away, I love living in the country, we are out in the sticks here, we have deer, bear, wild turkeys and many more animals that come to visit us, Thanks again for sharing God Bless and take care

Pure Boredom 😴 Another place I’ll never go.

I use to do a lot of skiing in the UP, I would drive the 9 hours from Chicago and get to the ski resort by 9am then ski all day. I never been there during the summer months it looks so different then winter. Now I moved to further east where in the city I'm living in has 20 million people here I don't think I can handle all the quietness in a small town anymore

L'Anse used to be known as a "town that never sleeps", but now it's pretty sleepy. There used to be a lot of bars downtown but most of them closed down back in the 90's. The population today is geriatric and seemingly terrified of sex. Besides the natural beauty, to be quite honest with you, it's pretty boring here.

I loved the upper UP when I lived in the United States. A drive to the area from Detroit was like finding God‘s country. I miss it so much.
