Strikers 1945 II - 2-ALL 2,738,900 F5U Flying Pancake【ストライカーズ1945II】
Yes, I finally got my 1st ever 2-ALL of Strikers 1945 II with the F5U Flying Pancake! =D I didn't think I'd 2-ALL it before the end of this year, but I managed to! =)
Okay, so I guess a little explanation is due here… A week after I defeated Zil's score in Gunbird 2 earlier in the year (This was back at Jun. 26th), I just ended up wanting to give Gunbird 2 a break. As much as getting a NMNB 2-ALL of Gunbird would have been nice, really, I was after defeating Zil's score in that game, so in that regard, I got what I actually wanted to do for Gunbird 2, as I was pleased enough with that, so I decided to give Gunbird 2 a break. Immediately after that, I decided that I'd go play Strikers 1945 II and go for the 2-ALL with the F5U Flying Pancake (I decided to play that game earlier back at July 3rd or 4th of this year). Indeed, nothing like more tap, tap & more button tap, haha!
To tell you, I actually have a bit of a history with playing Strikers 1945 II. Back at early 2013, I actually once owned the PS1 port of Strikers 1945 II (Yes, it's that crappy port you all probably heard about). Back then, I wasn't any good with STGs/Shmups, so I didn't have anywhere near the skills to handle that game at that time, so I sold it. Before you say anything, though, don't worry, I assure you, I did start off playing STGs w/ Touhou. A good friend of mines got me to play Touhou back at December 2010 (This was when I was a college freshman. Also, before then, I always wondered where I'd play the Touhou games).
Anyways... After I played Gunbird 2 extensively, putting this together w/ me getting a DOJWL 2-ALL, I thought about my brief run-in w/ S1945 II several years ago &, well, I wanted to settle that old score I had with that game, as I now have more than enough skills to handle it. I was thinking I'd knock this game down earlier than Dec. 28th, but well, I got held up by a number of things later on in the year, so consequently, it took me a bit longer than I would have expected to get my 1st ever 2-ALL of Strikers 1945 II w/ the F5U Flying Pancake.
Alright, so a little bit about the run itself… To start off, this 1st ever 2-ALL of Strikers 1945 II was actually something I got as my 1st full run of the day! =D I No Miss, No Bomb the 1st loop of S1945II, which is the 1st thing you want to make sure you know how to do, if you’re serious about wanting to 2-ALL S1945II, since you’ll want to enter the 2nd loop with as much resources as you can possibly get. That being said, I made a bit of an execution error in the stage part 1-6, but I managed to recover from it. I messed up a number of medal chains in a number of places in the 1st loop, so that dragged my score down a bit there.
Now, for the 2nd loop… Survival-wise, it went better than what I expected, actually, though the 2nd loop was a bit riddled with a number of execution errors I made, due to nerves. I had to use 1 bomb more than what I planned to use on the stage 2-2 boss. I also messed up the last bit of the stage part of stage 2-3, so I had to use 2 bombs to make up for that mistake. I messed up in the middle of stage 2-5, so I died once there. After that, I recovered, to where I played the rest of stage 2-5 relatively well (I used a bomb on the final form of the stage 2-5 boss earlier than I normally would, due to nerves, though, but it’s not a big deal). I ended up using 1 bomb on the final form of the stage 2-6 boss, due to me killing a certain group of popcorn enemies too early, which made them shoot suicide bullets in a way that caused problems, so I had to bomb once to save myself from dying to the stage 2-6 boss. In the middle of stage 2-7, I messed up a bit by not killing the tank on the left, so that was a bit of a surprise there, but I managed to survive it. I messed up the stage part of 2-8 a bit by not killing the turret enemies correctly using my max level special attack, so I actually had to use a bomb there to prevent getting hit. Lastly, I did a panic bomb on the final form of the stage 2-8 boss’s attack because I thought I was in the wrong placement.
Basically, as I played the 2nd loop in this run, I got more nervous as it went on (Basically, needless to say, before this one, I had a lot of full runs, where I messed up early on in the 2nd loop, which sucked, whenever it happened, and then there’s a handful of full runs, where I No Miss stages 2-1, 2-2, 2-3 & 2-4, only to mess up catastrophically in either stage 2-5, 2-6 or 2-7. There were many full runs I had that failed before I finally got my 1st ever 2-ALL of S1945 II).
Yeah, basically, this was the 1st run of the day I did today. I woke up, and did a full run of Strikers 1945 II right off the bat. To my delight, that 1st run of the day turned out to be my 1st ever 2-ALL of S1945II! =D
P.S. - I want to thank Erppo, BOS, I.O and Y.Saito for posting their runs on UA-cam! It helped me a whole lot, in-terms of me getting what to do in S1945II at-large, so it’s very much appreciated! =D

Alright, it took a bit of time to do, but I finally got to defeat Azinth’s best score of 3,087,600 in Gunbird 2! =D This also counts as my 1st ever No Bombs 2-ALL of Gunbird 2! =) This is a huge deal for me, as Azinth is among one of my greatest inspirations to me, as a STG/Shmup Player that started out playing STGs/Shmups through Touhou. I’ve known of his achievements for quite a while, partic...

Yes, indeed, as of February 20th, 2017, I surpassed E-KO's score of 114,331,560 (E-KO used Eve, and I have no idea, if he had wait on or off. E-KO's score is an old score from what seems like June 2010) with my own score of 117,1...

The original game is probably the only bullet hell game I actually really like. It's cool to see that the sequel looks just as good.
Easy mode
I don't think you have to attack one of the midbosses all three times during the first encounter, I think you just have to specifically target one during their duo tension. (3:43)

how do u get so fast at dodging? is this a TAS?
I did a lot of practice playing Strikers 1945 II while I was going for my 1st ever 2-ALL out of that game using F5U Flying Pancake. Specifically, a lot of savestate practicing was done to practice the hard parts over and over again until it gets burned into my memory, and I also studied a number of replays done by other players to figure out what to do in the game at-large, with me quite often straight-up copying a lot of said strats done by other players who have 2-ALL'd the game before me. Both of these things that I did helped me in creating my own route in Strikers 1945 II, nothing TAS about any of that. This S1945II 2-ALL run of mines you see here is a legit full run, default settings, no savestates, no TAS, no cheats whatsoever, no autofire (For the record, I don't believe using autofire is cheating. I simply chose not to use it in Psikyo games). Would I seriously go about 6 months straight of playing just 1 game only to do a lame TAS run at the end of it all that even a trained monkey can put together in just mere minutes, thus wasting all that time and effort on practicing & learning how to play S1945II on my end (not to mention it also wastes your time & everyone else's time as well), when I could have used all that time to play/do something else, if that were the case? C'mon now. Strikers 1945 II features a lot of static patterns that, once you analyze & understand the nature of said patterns (A whole lot of those said patterns will always act & behave the same way each run, allowing you to figure out what to do in short time (i.e. tap-dodge, safespot, moving in certain ways to manipulate a pattern that is always aimed at you, etc.)), it becomes easy to come up with a strategy to handle said parts & figure out what to do accordingly, simply because there’s not really much variation & little-to-no RNG to get in the way (To name one for starters, it's not difficult to understand how to No Miss, No Bomb the 1st loop of S1945II when you take the time to actually practice & study the game). It’s really not that hard to do, nothing TAS about any of that. These are all humanly possible things to do. You can also do it too, if you know how to practice & analyze the games right rather than just move around without a plan, try to dodge everything on reaction and hope for the best, when really, if you took the time to understand how the patterns act & behave, you'll very often find that you actually don't have to do that. Along with that, I should also note that I also had a lot of accumulated experience from years of playing all kinds of tough STG/Shmup games, which, if you go check out my channel, you’ll see that for yourself. That said accumulated experience over the years built up my overall skill level in the STG/Shmup genre, as well as molding the way I practice & study these kinds of games, so you can say it had a snowballing effect on my skills as an STG/Shmup Player. It takes time to develop the skills to handle tough games, as it's a gradual process that doesn't happen overnight. It has to build up along the way. The phrase "Rome wasn't built in a day" comes to mind here.

Any psikyo 2-all, but especially this one, is so impressive!
Very impressive, congrats!
Great run man!
Arguably the most creative bullet-hell from Psikyo with its mix of very fast and slow bullets. Tough call to say if which is more visually more impressive 2CC no miss run over Cave Ketsui. This is impossible on F2P Mobile port especially 2nd loop on Hard difficulty because of auto fire. Why is it that Psikyo make the 2nd loop ending so lame with The End. Putting so much effort for little reward.
Alright, after some thought, I suppose I’ll leave this here as a reference in navigating my Gunbird 2 No Miss, 1 Bomb 2-ALL video for specific stages you perhaps want to see. Alright, after some thought, I suppose I’ll leave this here as a reference in navigating my 1st ever DOJWL 2-ALL video for specific stages you perhaps want to see. I was gonna do this a while ago, but I just never got around to doing it until now… 1st Loop Stage 1-1: 00:13 - Stage 1-1 Boss: 01:51 Stage 1-2: 02:50 - Stage 1-2 Boss: 05:01 Stage 1-3: 05:51 - Stage 1-3 Boss: 08:41 Stage 1-4: 10:28 - Stage 1-4 Boss: 13:48 Stage 1-5: 16:39 - Stage 1-5 Boss: 20:51 2nd Loop Stage 2-1: 23:25 - Stage 2-1 Boss: 25:04 Stage 2-2: 25:51 - Stage 2-2 Boss: 28:03 Stage 2-3: 28:53 - Stage 2-3 Boss: 31:28 Stage 2-4: 33:09 - Stage 2-4 Boss: 36:27 Stage 2-5: 38:20 - Stage 2-5 Boss: 42:30 Hibachi (True Last Boss): 43:42 Some passing notes here... The way I do stage 2-1 in-general (boss included, I show you the easy way of handling the stage 2-1 boss if you don't want to do the "proper" way of doing the stage 2-1 boss) is perhaps the easiest way to go about handling that stage survival-wise, if you’re really up for trying to get the DOJWL 2-ALL (In-fact, getting through stage 2-1 as a whole should be the very 1st thing you want to make sure you have down consistently and all the time, if you really want to 2-ALL DOJWL. By that extension, it should also be noted here, that the 2nd thing you must make sure you can do consistently at all times is to get through all of stage 2-2 (boss included) without dying (Study how I handle stage 2-2 in-general in this video of mines to get an idea of what to do in stage 2-2 at-large), if you're serious about wanting to 2-ALL DOJWL), as it makes getting through that stage as easy as possible and not so nerve-wracking. To elaborate a bit further in my note about stage 2-1, the way I do stage 2-1 here (boss included) without dying is consistent and reliable, and, well, you never want to die in stage 2-1 in DOJWL ever, as that’s a game over on the spot should you die anywhere in stage 2-1, as the game takes away all of your spare lives at the end of stage 1-5 (You get 10,000,000 points per spare life added to your score (Out of a maximum of 50,000,000 points you can potentially get from the end of stage 1-5 spare lives bonus) by the time you get past the stage 1-5 boss and right before entering the 2nd loop, provided you fulfill at least 1 out of 3 conditions to enter the 2nd loop), leaving you with no spare lives entering stage 2-1, so you absolutely cannot make a survival mistake in stage 2-1 anywhere. Study closely how I do stage 2-1 in this 1st ever DOJWL 2-ALL video of mines, if you want to start off in trying to 2-ALL DOJWL. It's also to be noted, that you really don't want to use a bomb anywhere in stage 2-1. The reason for this is because, should you use 1 bomb in stage 2-1, it may put you in a bad survival scenario for when you face the stage 2-2 boss (The safest way to handle the stage 2-2 boss without dying in DOJWL is to hyper it's opening attack, then bomb through it's 2nd attack, and then when you get to it's final form, when it uses it's final attack, when you damage it enough, to where the announcer says "Just a couple more shots," then you activate your hyper to finish it off. I illustrate how to handle the stage 2-2 boss in this run more-or-less perfectly, so study that). I mean, sure, there's a way to get past the stage 2-1 boss using a bomb (It's apparently a death label strat, if I heard right), but I personally do not recommend using a bomb against the stage 2-1 boss at all because, chances are, you'll probably need that extra bomb for the stage 2-2 boss, as that'll allow you a little extra room for error, should the ideal way to handle the stage 2-2 boss, survival-wise (That is, the hyper-bomb-hyper strat), not go as planned (Sometimes, the stage 2-2 boss will just do that to you, to where you'll need the 2nd bomb to get past it anyway after you do the hyper-bomb-hyper strategy). Right, the way I do stage 1-4... Though I messed up the stage 1-4 1-up cannon midboss chain connect in this run, and thus, messing up the stage 1-4 full chain in this run, I did chain from the beginning of stage 1-4 up to that part, as well as chaining the railgun section right after the 1-up cannon midboss mess-up up to right before the stage 1-4 boss, so seeing how I do stage 1-4 should give you enough of an idea to work with on how to chain 1-4 in the easiest way possible, as the way I was trying to show stage 1-4 in this run is the easiest way to chain all of stage 1-4 (It's not as optimized as the more "proper" way(s) of doing the stage 1-4 full chain, sure, but it'll still give you a good amount of score simply from the very virtue of full chaining the stage alone (Doing the stage 1-4 full chain in the way I'm talking about here will get you at least a 2000+ Hit chain for stage 1-4, which is still a respectable 1-4 full chain), so it's worth doing, if you don't want to learn the more "proper" ways of learning the stage 1-4 full chain right now, but still want to learn to full chain 1-4 in some way or form nonetheless), so if you want to start off in learning how to full chain stage 1-4, then the way I do stage 1-4 in my 1st ever DOJWL 2-ALL video here is a good beginner's strat to learning the stage 1-4 full chain (Again, even though I didn't full chain stage 1-4 in this run, it should give you enough to work with, to where you'll get the idea). Also, the way I do stage 1-4 in this run is the strat I use, should I have to activate all 5 of my hypers against the stage 1-3 boss final form to prevent dying at that part, since you never want to die anywhere at stage 1-3 ever, if you want to full chain stage 1-4.
Awesome!!!!!!
I was wondering, where could I find this game? I tried searching for it in the links that are in the comments section but I still can't find the original eXceed 3rd except for the Ultra patches and the Trial version.
I see. There was once a time, where you can find the game easily (as well as a good number of other Doujin games) at Doujinstyle.com to download it (This was what I did like at least about 6 years ago). However, ever since they revamped their website a few years ago, if I recall correctly, they mentioned they moved a lot of their downloads (primarily the games) over to their Discord server, so I think you have to go to their Discord server to find the downloads for the game(s) you want to get from them nowadays, so your best bet is to go there and look for it, perhaps ask them if they still have the download. Try this, and see if it works out for you. Otherwise, if you're not able to get the game from them for some reason, then I'll personally arrange to set you up with another way for you to get the game and finally get to play it, should it come down to it. =)
@@violethatpurple3938 Thank you! I'll come back with an update about the link and see if they have it or not. I've never knew there was the original version eXceed 3rd which look so much more harder which grabbed my attension for this game.
@@MiniMinhara2023 No problem! =D Let me know how it goes. =) I've never been in Doujinstyle.com's Discord server, so I honestly can't tell you what it's like there, but, again, I do at least remember them saying they moved most of their Doujin game downloads to their Discord server, so again, just give going to their Discord server a try, and ask them for the eXceed 3rd Jade Penetrate original version download. If they don't have it somehow, then we'll work something out between you and me from there.
@@violethatpurple3938 I went to their Discord server and got the original eXceed 3rd game. I had to ask for it. The game runs perfectly well on my computer too. I thank you for the help!
@@MiniMinhara2023 Awesome! =D I knew I remembered it correctly, that they moved many of their game downloads to their Discord server. Good to hear you were able to get it off of them there! =) Also, again, it's no problem at all! =) Again, I'm just glad to hear that you were able to get the original eXceed 3rd game from them in the end. I hope you have a good time playing the eXceed 3rd Jade Penetrate original/vanilla version like I did! If I had to say so personally, between the original/vanilla version and the Black Package version, I liked the original vanilla version much better, not to mention I found it much more fun as well. For me, I liked the faster pacing of the original compared to Black Package, not to mention it's more of a challenge than the Black Package version is (Particularly, the eXceed 3rd Jade Penetrate Vanilla Version Ultra Mode ALL Clear is much more challenging to get than the Black Package eXceed Mode + TLB ALL Clear ever was), so those were the main things I liked about the original/vanilla version that made me much prefer it over the Black Package version.

where did you get the artwork, i can't find it.
Hello, MetalWolf ZX! Sorry for the delayed response on my end. My apologies for that. I got the artwork from x.x's old website. A few years back or so (At least 3 -4 years-ish at this point), I found x.x's old website somewhere while I was playing Eden's Aegis. It's under the archives dot org website. I'll link you to it right here (In-case it has to be noted here, some of x.x's artwork in his old website can be a little bit on the NSFW side): web.archive.org/web/20141227211731/xxgameroom.blog102.fc2.com/ From there, you can find x.x's old artwork throughout all the year and month blogs x.x made on his old website. Hope this helps, and do let me know, if there's any other additional questions related to Eden's Aegis here that you want to ask me about! =)
Congratulations!finally you got it!
Thank you, Harduser! =D I gotta tell you, DOJWL is the most challenging game I've ever played (perhaps maybe ever, but it was lots of fun, at the same time), and it took me a little under 18 months (from Jul. 3rd, 2018 to Dec. 27th, 2019) of playing just this game and this game alone (I had to put off plans to play other STG/Shmup games in favor of focusing on getting the DOJWL 2-ALL), as well as hundreds of hours in that same time period (I have no idea how many hours (didn't keep track, haha, and perhaps that's probably for the better), but it could be at least maybe close to 1000+ hours or so (or maybe even a 1000 hours) total (at least around maybe 800+ hours or so, perhaps, if you had to insist on asking me) for all I know, but I managed to get the DOJWL 2-ALL, and before 2019 ended, to boot! In the end, it was worth it, I'd say, and I learned a whole lot out of my time with DOJWL! =D You know, I gotta thank you, Harduser, for being such an inspiration to me in both DOJBL an, particularly, DOJWL. That DOJWL stage 2-1 boss survival strategy of yours was just brilliant, and it played a major, if not, vital part in helping me manage the stage 2-1 boss in DOJWL without dying, thus laying the foundation for me to really be able to stand a chance in DOJWL and go for the 2-ALL in it. Had you not shared that DOJWL 2-1 boss survival strategy in your UA-cam channel, I'd be having a much harder time with DOJWL (stage 2-1 would have been a whole lot scarier to deal with without your strategy), and I probably wouldn't have gotten the DOJWL 2-ALL before the end of last year (Heck, if not for your help, maybe I'd probably still be trying to go for my 1st ever 2-ALL of DOJWL right now). Indeed, I appreciate your work in DOJ, in both BL and, particularly, WL, and so, I sincerely am grateful for you helping me out the way you did in DOJWL, Harduser! Know that you played a fundamental role in my success in DOJWL! I'll never forget it! =)
Also, I forgot to say this, and I realize this was quite rude of me to neglect mentioning him, but Harduser... If you do see and/or hear from descriptive next time (I know he's a good friend of yours), do give him my regards. =D The advice he shared in Shmups Forum in the few posts he made was useful info to me in my early stages of playing DOJWL, and for that, I am grateful to him. He's a bit of an unsung hero, in this regard. I do regret that I neglected to mention a bit about him until now, and thus, I am sorry about that (I added his name in my video description just now to give him the acknowledgement he rightly deserves. I was really at the 5000 word limit, but I was somehow able to get it, to where I got to add his name in it). You mentioned descriptive is busy with work these days, but again, if you ever get to see and/or hear from him again, if you could do this for me, do let him know that he's played a part in me getting a DOJWL 2-ALL, and that I am thankful to him for sharing that info, for it helped me in the long run in getting a DOJWL 2-ALL. I want descriptive to know this, coming from me. =)

Great run!
Thank you, Emphatic! =D It's been quite the ride for me in Gunbird 2, but it led up to this point! It wasn't easy, to be sure, but it was a fun blast to do! =)
Incredible run ! Good luck for NMNB :)
Thank you, Juju Kenobi! =D Haha, you know it. =) Indeed, even at this point in Gunbird 2, I do, in-fact, have at least 1 more thing I like to do in Gunbird 2, that 1 more thing in-particular being the No Miss, No Bomb 2-ALL itself. From here, it's gonna be one final push to get to that point. It's been quite the ride for me in playing Gunbird 2 up to this point, and it's been a lot of fun all the way, so this final push will be a good one to do! =) I mean, I got this far in Gunbird 2, so yeah, I'm planning to go for that next.
Congrats on getting this. You've really been at it with this game.
Thank you, Prinny! =D Yeah, when I first started playing Gunbird 2, I was gonna just get my 1st ever 2-ALL and just be done with Gunbird 2 after getting it, but, well, as time went on, I've come to discover that I'm capable of a lot more than I thought myself to be in Gunbird 2, and I've come to recognize that (Who would've thought I'd actually come to learn how to No Miss, No Bomb all of the game in savestate practice? I never would have guessed that back when I first started to play Gunbird 2 in Dec. 30th, 2019), so I've decided I got a little bit of time to spare for Gunbird 2, since I'm currently not in any particular rush to go to the next game I have in-mind, and it went from there. This game generally doesn't take as much time as DOJWL did for me, so me getting a little bit of time to spare for Gunbird 2 is an easy thing for me to do. Plus, the opportunity presented to me in Gunbird 2, that is, the potential of me actually pulling off a No Miss, No Bomb 2-ALL of Gunbird 2, is quite possibly something that might not ever happen again to me in another arcade STG/Shmup, and so, I decided to go for it, and, well, I got up to this point in Gunbird 2. =) Indeed, I actually still have at least 1 more thing I want to do in Gunbird 2, that 1 more thing in-particular being the No Miss, No Bomb 2-ALL itself, so I'm looking to do that. From here, it's gonna be one final push to get to that point. It's been quite a blast for me in playing Gunbird 2 up to this point, so this final push will be a fun one to do! =)
I can imagine the **PHEW** that was let go at 29:34 Using this as a reference for my Hard 1cc attempt
Definitely the visually impressive 2nd loop bullet hell from Psikyo. Even more than Impressive than Striker's 1945 2nd loop even though it is considered to be hardest Psikyo shump title to 2nd loop.
Wow, in the second loop bullets went crazily fast! Congrats on the 2-all, very well done and almost a no miss on top of this. Out of curiosity, how much gameplay hours did this run require?
Thank you, MAZ! =D Just, yeah, again, I sure wish I didn't panic (Since I got from stage 1-1 to stage 2-7 without dying in a full run, the last thing I wanted at that time is to die somewhere at stage 2-7 like, say, at the beginning, for example) and lose my head at stage 2-7, since that messed up my concentration a lot and bombspammed like nuts in that stage. That did upset me, even though I did get my 1st ever 2-ALL out of it, since that meant I never got to show how to actually handle stage 2-7 without using bombs. =/ I still thought the ending was funny, though. :P Yeah, the 2nd loop of Gunbird 2 is where all the real action is at for the game (I do like how fast the bullets are for the 2nd loop, if you were to ask me personally. It makes the game thrilling to play), though I'd consider the 1st loop to not be a joke in itself if you're going for a No Miss, No Bomb of the 1st loop. Hmm, gameplay hours, let's see... Since I started to do full runs of Gunbird 2 again after May 5th, starting at May 6th from up to May 16th, I spent about 5 hours a day playing full runs of Gunbird 2, though on a few of those days, I spent a little less time than that (2 - 3 hours as opposed to 5 hours), so I estimate that I spent a total of 40 - 50 hours doing full runs before I got my 1st ever 2-ALL of Gunbird 2. However, I spent a whole lot more time doing savestate practice of Gunbird 2 from Dec. 30th, 2019 to May 5th, 2020, though I did do a little bit of full runs back a little bit near the end of February before I got too busy to do full runs of Gunbird 2 at the time, to where I went back to doing savestate practice of Gunbird 2 and studying CAT's Gunbird 2 runs more closely (Me doing this was key to how I got to learn how to NMNB the entire game in savestate practice on Mar. 20th).
@@violethatpurple3938 thanks for the detailed answer. I am asking because with my current Ikaruga endeavour I am sitting at over 400+ hours of gameplay (between full runa, single stage runs and savestate grinds) and I still feel far away from my score goal of 30 millions. So I am actually curious to know how much slower I am compared to other shmup players 😅 As for the ending, I kinda of like it, It is really anticlimatic in a really awkwardly cool way lol
Very impressive run for a first 2-all on that game. Congrats !
Thank you, Juju Kenobi! =D Yeah, I got to beat the score of Azinth's 1st ever 2-ALL of Gunbird 2, which was 2,748,600, for my 1st ever 2-ALL of Gunbird, so I'm pleased about that, since that was what I was hoping for at the very least, should I not get 3+ Million. Still, though, again, I sure wish I didn't panic (Since I got from stage 1-1 to stage 2-7 without dying in a full run, the last thing I wanted at that time is to die somewhere at stage 2-7 like, say, at the beginning, for example) and lose my head at stage 2-7, since that messed up my concentration a lot and bombspammed like nuts in that stage. That did upset me, even though I did get my 1st ever 2-ALL out of it, since that meant I never got to show how to actually handle stage 2-7 without using bombs. =/ However, now that I got my 1st ever 2-ALL of Gunbird 2, I can spend some time in Gunbird 2 improving on my 1st ever 2-ALL (I'm, at the moment, not in any immediate rush to go to the next game I have in-mind). I did learn how to NMNB the entire game back at Mar. 20th in savestate practice, so I'm gonna try to push it further in Gunbird 2 while I got some time to do so. =)
Excellent work man! This game is absolutely brutal!
Thank you, Mark! =D Yeah, Gunbird 2 isn't a joke of a game at all, to say the least. It's really fun, though, when you get used to the game, and especially once you know what to do in Gunbird 2. =D It's a real shame I messed up stage 2-7 really badly in this run, though. That was something I was upset about, even though I still got my 1st ever 2-ALL of Gunbird 2. =( However, now that I got my 1st ever 2-ALL of Gunbird 2, I can actually spend some time in Gunbird 2 improving on my 1st ever 2-ALL (I'm, at the moment, not in any immediate rush to go to the next game I have in-mind). I did learn how to NMNB the entire game back at Mar. 20th in savestate practice, so I'm gonna give it a go to do more stuff in Gunbird 2. =)

Nice job! Every game mechanic of Daioujou is beautiful, making it one of my favorite - if not my favorite of all time shmups. I'd love to see you keep doing 2-ALL runs of DOJ. Maybe you can find a way to make a full chain through Stage 3? There's a good trick to it...
Thank you, Lance Curry! =D DoDonPachi DaiOuJou, I'd say, is a really fun game, yes. =) I had a really fun time with both BL & WL, challenging as they may be, especially WL. Very rewarding to get the 2-ALL in both games, particularly WL, and it's even moreso, when you learn how to score in both games. I learned and gained a whole lot out of my time with DOJ, I'd say. =D To tell you, if I had to pick between BL and WL, I'd say WL is the more fun game of the two, though WL is a far more challenging game to 2-ALL than BL, so I wouldn't jump into WL haphazardly unless you know exactly what it is you're getting into. I'd recommend starting with BL and do well at it first before getting into WL, if you were to ask me. I do have further plans for DOJ, in both the BL & WL versions. In-particular, I'd like to do more with DOJWL, but for now, I've been taking a break from DOJ, since, I gotta say, WL took the most effort by far and wide to finally get the 2-ALL in it (There were several times, where I thought I'll never get the DOJWL 2-ALL, that I may be stuck trying to 2-ALL DOJWL forever, and thus, be the end of me as a STG/Shmup Player. No game ever challenged my own fortitude more than DOJWL did. It's remarkable, that I stuck it out with DOJWL for about a year and a half (I played no other game in that same time period, too. It was just only DOJWL alone that I played that whole time) before finally getting the 2-ALL out of it). Plus, I also wanted to play other games as well, but since DOJWL took so much time and effort out of me just to 2-ALL it (It's even moreso, when I actually score in it), I had to, much to my dismay, put all those plans on-hold for about year and a half until I finally got the DOJWL 2-ALL. Ever since, I went on with my plans to play other games, but yes, I do want to come back to DOJ sometime and go on with those further plans I have for both BL and WL. Just, for now, I'd like to try out other games I haven't played yet and do well in those first before coming back to DOJ. Also, yes, I'm familiar with the stage 3 full chain. In DOJWL, pulling that off is going to be much more challenging to do than at DOJBL. Since I didn't really bother much in trying to be consistent in getting the stage 1-3 full chain back when I played DOJBL (I was familiar with it, though), I wasn't really about to begin to consider trying to do that for DOJWL.
@@violethatpurple3938 | I still hope you eventually get better enough at the game to try chaining into Kuura (the Stage 3 mid-boss). The Hyper trick in 1-3 is pretty difficult, after all. But at least in 2-3, you can simply use your normal shot to slowly take chain points off the battleship (destroying its turrets) before lasering Kuura in time. I think you have what it takes to make a White Label world record! Has anyone ever played White Label and fully chained all stages (both Normal and Hard Loops)? You could be the first! Hope to see more White Label stuff in the future!
When I first played this over a decade ago I'd always lose 1-2 lives on stage 4. On this mode it looks practically impossible lol.
Good job! I hope you were jumping around in front of your TV after that xD
Thank you, Illyrian! =D Ahaha, well, it was more like a computer monitor, but yeah, the idea's about similar, you can say. Well, my reaction was a bit more tame than that, actually, if I recall correctly (The fact that the score of my 1st ever 2-ALL of DOJWL wasn't my highest score had something to do with that (My PB in DOJWL is 1.383+ Billion, but sadly, that run wasn't a 2-ALL). However, it still didn't change the fact that, yeah, I was super happy about getting my 1st ever 2-ALL of DOJWL, especially since the 2nd loop survival in it went really well, for the most part, not to mention it did fulfill the minimal requirements I had in-mind for my 1st ever 2-ALL of DOJWL, that is, get a 3000+ Hit Chain & get at least over 1+ Billion at the same time, both of which were done quite well, so really, I couldn't ask for more than what I got for my 1st ever 2-ALL of DOJWL, especially with how challenging this game is already & all & how scoring in it makes it even harder. =D). :P Anyhow, the 1st thing I did after I got my 1st ever DOJWL 2-ALL was yell "Yeah!!!" at the top of my lungs, and then I got up and move around, thinking about that, yeah, I finally did it, after spending almost 18 months straight playing only just this game. It took me a bit of time to absorb that I finally did it, but when it finally hit me, it was quite an amazing feeling like no other, suffice to say. It was so totally worth it in the end & that the sacrifices I had to make (i.e. putting off plans to play other games until the DOJWL 2-ALL is done) were not at all in vain! =) I know I said to many others before that I'd 2-ALL DOJWL before the end of 2019, but I didn't think I'd actually do it, but I managed to pull it off, and it was on Dec. 27th, 2019, to boot! It was a little close to call, haha, but yeah, it was done, indeed. =)
congratulation on your clear! I also refer to your cool trick on 2-3 mid boss.
Thank you, Funky Beetle! =D It's good to see you here! I've known about you ever since you got that 1st ever DOJWL 2-ALL of yours a few years back at 2017, and you were among those that made me eventually think that I can handle DOJWL (This was especially the case after I got the DOJBL 2-ALL back at Jan. 29th, 2018), which lead to me taking that leap of faith, that is, working on a DOJWL 2-ALL back at Jul. 2018, so I am grateful to you for that! =) Man, this game was an absolute monster to deal with, but I managed to get through it, though I'm sure you'd know that feeling all too well, since you played a lot of DOJWL yourself well before I did. It was so totally worth it in the end! =) As tough as this game was for me, I found it lots of fun as well, especially when I learned how to score in it (I learned how to score in most of DOJBL, so I took that knowledge with me to DOJWL & changed it up accordingly), so they balance each other out, one can say, haha. :P Yeah, the trick I use on the 2-3 midboss was something I learned from LYX. At first, I tried Pazzy's way of doing it, but after a while, I personally found it a bit too risky for me. I eventually went with LYX's way of handling the 2-3 midboss, and I was much more consistent with his way of doing it, so I stuck with his way ever since.
Mad skills Violet!!! Respect, brother.
Hey, Hugo! It's good to see you here! =D Also, thank you, by the way! It means a lot to me! =) Yeah, this was the only STG/Shmup game I was playing from Jul. 3rd, 2018 all the way to Dec. 27th, 2019 straight. I played no other STG/Shmup game between that time period. DOJWL was that challenging of a game to me, that I had to (as tough as it is) temporarily suspend all plans to play other STG/Shmup games until I get the DOJWL 2-ALL done. It was an absolute monster of a game, to put it mildly. It took lots of time, effort & practice, but it was finally done, and I gotta say, it was so totally worth it in the end! =D
I’m watching this for the first 10 minutes and I’m quite impressed how you’re able to dodge everything. MAD SKILLS btw!!!!
Hey, Paul! It's good to see you here! =D Also, thank you, by the way! =) Ahaha, well, there was still that one silly death at the stage 1-2 boss that usually doesn't happen. I usually would restart on that moment, but for this particular run, I just didn't feel like restarting over something like that, so I decided to just continue rolling with that run. I never would have thought this run would end up being my 1st ever 2-ALL of DOJWL! It was a pleasant surprise, let's just say. =) If you were to ask me, my overall 2nd loop performance in this run is the more entertaining part all over (I would check that out, starting from 23:20) & the stage 1-5 full chain is also fun to do (Start at 16:40), if only because I always love doing the stage 1-5 full chain everytime. Speaking of which, you really do need to go see the Hibachi fight in my run (Starts at 43:43)! That ended up being one hell of a battle, since I didn't have the ideal hyper setup reaching her. I could still hardly believe I got the DOJWL 2-ALL, despite that. Shame I didn't get to demonstrate the stage 1-4 full chain in this run, but oh well, stuff happens. The 1-up cannon & the rail section are both RNG-based, so if you get bad RNG in those 2 areas, you pretty much lost the stage 1-4 full chain.
You beated one of the haedest Shmup... Congratulation VioletHatPurple!! You show me "what a Doujin game player and Touhou Player Can do" ...By the way I got ketsui ura 2-ALL after your DDPDOJWL 2-ALL. Touhou is really Harder.
Thank you, A.S Asagami! =D It was no easy feat, to say the least, but it is done! =) Yeah, I saw that Ketsui Ura 2-ALL video of yours that you put up in your channel. Very nicely done! =D I have to say, the amount of progress you made in the STG genre within 3 years is astounding. You're one hell of a player, if I have to say so myself! =) It's great to see you also got to end 2019 on an amazing note as well, A.S Asagami! =) Yeah, we both showed to them, that Touhou is Harder, indeed! 👍
Super run! DDP DOJ WL is always entertaining to watch, and that run of yours is brilliant! Congrats!
Thank you, MaZ! =D It was no easy feat to do, suffice to say, but it is done! =) Like, I usually don't die to the stage 1-2 boss like that & it's usually something I restart the run over, but I didn't feel like restarting in this run, so I just decided to just roll with it anyway. I never would have guessed that same run would end up being my 1st ever 2-ALL of DOJWL! Funny how that happens. I didn't think I'd actually get past Hibachi in this run, too, since I didn't reach the stage 2-5 boss 1st form, Kouryuu, with an ideal hyper setup (The problem stemmed from me making the wrong call not to activate my hyper at 42:07). You see, I mistakenly believed that using a hyper there would end up making me spawn a hyper before reaching Kouryuu, when really, I should have used it there, as my hyper meter actually was low enough for me to use it there without the risk of that happening, which made the entire whole fight between the 1st form, Kouryuu, the 2nd form, Taisabachi & Hibachi herself a lot more wild than it really needed to be. Yet, despite that, I managed to 2-ALL DOJWL! I guess you can say I really just wanted that 2-ALL, that I played like hell to make up for it. =)
@@violethatpurple3938 thanks for the run down! Very often the run we need and get at the end isn't the perfectly planned run we practice for. It is part of the game and I like it 😄
@@mazstg8844 Yeah, it's not easy to get the ideal run, suffice to say, especially when it comes down to DOJWL, haha. :P While I was still aiming for my 1st ever 2-ALL of DOJWL, part of what I established for myself was that, as long as I'm still going for it, there's a few certain mistakes I can allow myself to get away with, in-regards to the 1st loop. One of them was that, if I die to the stage 1-2 boss, depending on where it is I died at (case-by-case thing), I may or may not restart the run over something like that. Another spot I look at through by a case-by-case basis is where did I die at the stage 1-1 boss while hyper milking him (This happens more often than I care to admit, haha :P) to enter stage 1-2. Heck, for the stage 1-4 boss, if I die to his 3rd pattern while I have a hyper, then what I do, in an attempt to salvage the stage 1-5 hyper setup, is that I suicide intentionally a few times to get my hyper meter up, and after that, I use up all my bombs to spawn the hyper, and proceed to milk the stage 1-4 boss to get 5 hyper meters filled for stage 1-5. I also let myself be okay with losing the stage 1-4 full chain if the RNG in the 1-up cannon and/or the rail section is bad. Adding to that, I also let myself be fine with messing up the stage 1-5 boss if it happens, as well as me being okay with not getting the bomb bonus over to the 2nd loop, should that happen as well. I let myself be okay with any of those mistakes if they do happen as long as I'm still aiming for my 1st ever 2-ALL of DOJWL, as I want to try to get as many full runs as I can get that enters into the 2nd loop without having to restart many times more than I already have done & dealt with (I restarted more runs than I care to admit, let's just say). However, I gave myself a set of minimum requirements for the 1st loop of DOJWL that I will always make sure to fulfill at all times, in-terms of full runs. I will always want to full chain stages 1-1, 1-2 & 1-5. I will also always make sure to never die anywhere in stage 1-3, since I want to enter into stage 1-4 with either 5 hypers in (ideal) or with 5 hypers activated (usual, safe strat that still gives me a chance to full chain 1-4 in the way I know it best). Score-wise, I also make sure that, by the end of the 1st loop of DOJWL, I have, at the very least, over 500+ Million to enter into the 2nd loop with. If I mess up any 1 of those minimum requirements, then yeah, I will reset the run & do it all over again. Lastly... I did notice I forgot to type in the word "like" after "feel" in my last response, so I went to correct that mistake, haha. :P
Amazing, just amazing! Congratulations!
Thank you, OmKol! =D It was very challenging for me to 2-ALL DOJWL (I made it even harder on myself by scoring in it), but it is done. It was totally worth it! =) I wish you all the best in getting the DOJWL 2-ALL yourself, OmKol! =D I know you're very close to getting it! =) At the very least, you're doing a survival-centered DOJWL 2-ALL & not the scoring kind of DOJWL 2-ALL, so I'd venture to say it's at least a bit easier on you in that regard, though at the same time, I know it's still a very challenging game to 2-ALL anyway nonetheless, score or no score.
