Video Stabilization Testing: walking with tripod vs Handheld: Canon G7Xii
Does walking with a small, light gorillapod style tripod create more stable videos than video captured when holding a camera handheld without a tripod handle? I put this question to the test in this Canon G7X ii Camera Video Stability Test.
If you're interested in how to reduce shakiness, minimize shake, and find the best way to eliminate shaky footage, this exploration of the Canon G7X mark 2's functioning may be of interest to you as I explore which camera holding technique looks like it has a more stable stabilizer/ stabiliser effect.
- -
I'm not certain but I think that if you use a heavy big tripod as opposed to a tiny one, the results would differ because the weight of a large tripod may have a stabilizing effect.

Переглядів 9907 років тому

I was experimenting with different Picture Style settings, trying to see if I could tell a difference between them, to figure out which setting is the best one to film footage with for when shooting videos for youtube. Halfway through making this vide...

@Ms T Reviews after the iron mode the clothes are nice and warm but there is fluff and hairs in the machine due to the iron mode, do you clean it with a fiber towel or just run a cleaning program?
Why not learn what they mean before showing us doh?
My God 😂 Nobody care about video on these small cameras! - Your phone will probably do it better! If its good video quality on the cheap your after look att Panasonic m43 cameras or Sony Aps-c..
2022 Update: Lifespan: This dishwasher lasted from August 2017 till November 2022 before it broke down - so it lasted a little over 5 years. Cost of calling in a repair person was about half the cost of buying a brand new dishwasher so we opted to buy a new machine. We'll probably try a Bosch for the next one.
Thanks. Really good video, not many reviews of these controls online. These are the same controls as on the Neff induction hobs so nice to see.
I believe....... useless
Thanks this helprd
Thanks for the video. What a faff on! I think I have done it eventually on my machine. 1. The 5 second hold-in of the start button did not work if I had the door closed. I tried it with the door *not* closed then it did work so that may have been the reason. 2. The instruction for my model HBC2B19UKN says the 'P' button flashes to show the current hardness setting. It does not. The program setting lights flash and I can cycle through them and I think that sets the hardness. When I power the machine off and back on the correct program is still set, as is the flashing hardness value if I go through the setting process again. So hopefully the hardness is now set for my water area. In conclusion - Worst. Human-Machine. Interface. Ever.
Mine keeps blinking
Probably an eye infection.
Is this model made in Germany? Thanks.
I got one for 1 week and thought I was stupid to spend so much on a machine that just feels like an average machine in terms of quality. So it was returned refunded and not an LG in 2019 and pleased I made the decision.
Thanks very helpful
Miele revised the construction of their W1 series in 2020. The drum spinning assembly is now made of stainless steel instead of aluminium, just like the old machines.
I still wouldn't go for one again I'm afraid.
Thank you!
I think Sony colors are more real. And I like the exposure and white balance in the Sony too. The Canon have punchy no real colors, overexposed rendition. But you can film with less saturation, less contrast and put down the exposure -1 step o even a 1/3 step and the Canon is better
This isn't working on my new machine(ie the 5 second hold doesn't result in a beep). Help!
Did you try pressing P button instead of ON/OFF button? It worked with my machine
So I figured this out, it doesn't say in the instructions but you have to do it fairly quickly. So after you turn it off at step 2, immediately press and hold the play/pause button. If you wait too long before pressing it won't work. Hope this helps
How to switch off this cooker? I have have trouble to switch it off. It always stays hold.
When you switch it off with the power button, if the hob is still hot it will show an "H". Later as it cools, "H" becomes "h" and after a few hours the little "h" disappears and it finally looks like it's completely off. When you see "H" or "h", the hob *is off*, but the letters just tell you that it's hot so you know to be careful not to touch the hob.
3 hours for a wash?! Thank you for the thorough and even-handed review.
Doesn't water collecting in the dispenser compartment promote microbial growth?
Mine doesn’t beep when I press the start stop button for 5 seconds ? Model number whirlpool wfc 3c33 pf x uk. Any suggestions ?
It didn't work for me too when I pressed on/off button but it worked when I pressed P button. Good luck
Thank you, really helpful
Very good review
That was a very helpful review
Very well explained
Excellent video I wish Miele would do this for all appliances
touch buttons look a little hit n miss?
A little - but maybe not as bad as it looks in the video - I was trying to use them whilst looking through the camera which made my aim less spot-on. When well-aimed they are hit and miss maybe 5% of the time, work well about 95% of the time :)
3 sharp 3 contrast 3 saturation 0 color tone -1 ?? 0 ?? What is the -1 and 0... (last numbers)...thanks
I'm not sure but I think the ones in brackets are fineness and threshold
2020 Update: Having had the machine for 3 years, I wanted to do an update: So, after 3 years of service, we just got rid of this machine. Here's why: In the first 2 years the machine worked well and we were very happy with it (aside from a small issue with the machine not wringing out towels very thoroughly so it required an extra spin after a complete cycle - but that we could live with.) In the 3rd year it started breaking down a lot. We called the repair people 5 times this year, and the 5th time the problem would cost £400 to repair, so we decided we'd just get a new machine. The issues that started to come up in the 3rd year: 1.) Heating Element Issue: An error came up on the machine. The repair people told us it's a known issue that this machine has heating elements (thermostat & heating sensor) that wear out quite easily causing the machine to stop working as long as it shows the fault / error message. We replaced the heating element and avoided running the machine at very high temperatures to help preserve the replacement heating element. Very high temperatures can make it break since it's just a weakness of this part - we found this out after we had to replace the heating element 3 times! 2.) Drum spinner breakdown The final straw was when all the parts that hold the drum in place snapped (the ball bearings, coupling & spinner) causing the drum to spin askew, banging against the sides of the machine noisily. This would cost £400 to repair and our 2 year insurance had run out by this point so.. we decided to buy a new machine since it would cost about the same as the repair. Final thoughts: I don't know if we were unlucky and got a dud machine - which is possible, but personally, we were put off from buying Miele again since it's so expensive and lasted for so little time - and also our repairman told us he personally wouldn't buy a Miele based on his experience working with these machines. The new machine we bought is a Bosch - fingers crossed it will have a much longer lifespan. If you buy this machine (or any other) I think it's worth getting some insurance for 3+ years to cover you, just in case!
Thanks for this update. You are saving me from wasting a lot of $$$ in buying this model, which is currently the cheapest Miele available in my country. I fear that all front loaders are breaking down very quickly these days. It’s galvanic corrosion. My Hoover hasn’t made it to 2 years old, even though I have followed the rules of keeping the door open and not overdoing the detergent. What is there to buy if even Miele is corroding so quickly??
Was not expecting that!
soory to let you know but if you bougth a bosch machi its the same. bosch, siemens, aeg , miele its all the same . german. witch used to be the best not enymoore .
@@marcoaurelionunes8031 is there a brand you would recommend?
@@MsTReviews Are you happy with Bosch? I thought Miele were the one that last the most but I was wrong. Also I've already decided to go with Bosch because Miele are unaffordable for me.
This must be the best review of an appliance I have ever seen. Wow Congratulations. You talked about anything. Bravo. :)
Where does the bleach girl I never see anyone at bleach with the Miele.
I used to have a Sony a5100 I absolutely hated it at the end because it over heats so much 😭😭 today I just ordered my canon g7x mark ii
Colors better on Rx100
*very simple to install=>>**allmy.tips/GE_Cooktop?D30** had to do a small amount of trimimg in the corners of the existing cut out, other than that every thing else was very easy. it works great.*
Great video especially the part where you made a collage of picture style mode. Very helpful.
Most glow red - is this one purple or is it the camera? :-)
It's the camera - In real life it glows red :)
Does it wash well? Does it strech clothes?
i tested my g7xii on stabilization too... sad to say, its all hyped on the promo vids.. still need to use a gimbal for walking around shots..
Many thanks for this test! Was the stabilisation On or Off on the G7x?
It was On
Extremely usefull test, many thanks for posting!!! I was about to purchase the rx100, but this test made me swap to the Canon gx7 m2... Thank you again!
Thank you so much. This review was so helpful
The spin performance depends of spin speed. For example: 1600rpm. - "A" 1200-1400rpm. - "B" 800-1000rpm. - "C" And so on....
Canon better! Stabi is terrible on the Sony
as always, very helpful. please do one on your drier.
amazing thank you soooo soooo much!! for the price it's great to experience and interact with the machine vicariously through you. you're an angel.
Very good presentation & your voice is lovely. I do have one question. How do you get more than one hotplate working?
Thank you for your kind words ^_^ To get more than one hotplate working simultaneously, you go one by one. So you start by selecting (underlined = selection) one and switch it on (say to 9). To select the second one, you then select another hotplate (leaving the other one on 9, the underlined selected hotplate now goes to a new hotplate that you select with "0" on it) and you increase this newly selected 2nd hotplate from 0 to (say) 9 too. You can then select (underline) a 3rd and 4th hotplate too (one by one) to get them all working at once. To adjust an individual hotplate when they're all on, you'll have to select it (underlined emphasis shows selection) before adjusting the heat setting for it. You can't adjust the heat setting of more than 1 hotplate at the exact same time - you have to do them one at a time, one after the other. Hope I explained that alright! And hope that helps :)
I bought a canon G7x ii because it has better image stabilization and touch screen.
Amazing how the first generation RX100 can still hold its own even against the much newer G7x mk2. Of course the Canon has quite a few things going for it, being the newer one. And the Canon stabilisation is unparalleled even by the latest RX100 incarnation. Well if you don't mind the terrible jello effect (rolling shutter) on the stabilised video.
And RX100 mark 7 has best stabilization and autofocus today. 🤣
Really useful comparison
well done, thx!!!
