Hey man, gotta be honest, I have not tried anything else. I know that this is quite picky about the transistors. Sure you can't find em? Because I did, search on eBay. I did also match mine ( I saw your comment on tagboardeffects).

Btw mega important update for this project, this mistake is everywhere online: There is a clear mistake in the schematic and subsequently, all over the internet and in the vero as well. If we look at the input, the 470K resistor connected to the first leg of the 100nF capacitor, that should be connected to the second leg of the 100nF! then going to ground as it is. like so: i.imgflip.com/379mgx.jpg The problem is that it being like that...(it depends on the adapter current,I have 9.71 V), the bias at Q1 will start to drift because it has no reference with the 470K resistor connected like that. It starts to sound strange/and splattered, like a dying battery. As others noticed, if you simply unplug the power and put it back, it ''sounds ok again'', like a ''reset''.

This guitar is worth 500 euro IMO. It's a very good quality instrument, the fretboard wood, the trem, everything. The trem is same quality as a German OFR, steel base, saddles, lock nut , all steel. The switch bypasses the volume and tone pots entirely, and connect the bridge humbucker directly to the output. This is stock on this guitar.

Hello, it's an older video, but the guitar is plugged straight into the amp (either a German Suprem 50W combo modded head to have a drive channel now from 1968, OR, a 4 channel custom OverdriveAmps head). Either way, it's a tube amp, directly the frontend, no boost/drive, and some effects in the FX Loop (a delay+reverb). Very simple but very effective

Russian preamp tubes, his own lead channel design.(the delay and reverb is just a behringer dsp2024 pro processor in the paralel loop). Very nice, you'll not be sorry.This particular one has the C22T and C22N pickups I also own a DC127 now, which has M22T and M22N, very similar feel on both. Nice guitars, the ebony fingerboard really puts it in the mix! You can play metal stuff too, you can play anything with it. I guarantee you'll love it. +Dominique Bovard Hello! The amps that I use are custom made and modified, so unfortunately it doesn't really make a difference :D regarding to a comparison. Just the guitar plugged directly in the amp and a behringer dsp2024 pro processor for reverb and delay in the PARALLEL FX loop, that simple.
