Dont get me wrong a great voice but hasn't the feeling&soul of this song like susan boyle, you could see the pain and angst in the way she sang this song where as this lady just relied on her voice without the passion and soul but having said all that it does not take away the fact she has a great voice.

Agree with Jane Doy lack the lower register also slightly slowed down and softened in places would've gave more to this version not close to Susan version. But still a lovely singer. 🇬🇧🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿Bonnie Scotland

Yes you are correct Mia! Well said :) I wanted to get attention for this young lady that's all. Saying that, I was emotionally moved by this performance when filming. I listened to Susan Boyle's version and it just didn't do the same. Thank you for your comment.

Here is a letter I wrote to Dr. Berke 8years ago and never got a response. Dear Dr. Berke: It has been 7 years since you performed the Denervation and Deinnervation operation on me. The one that left me with a paralyzed vocal cord after you assured me that the only downside to the operation besides whispering for about 3 months was that my spasmodic dysphonia could return. Instead I ended up with a paralyzed vocal cord and a permanent hoarse whisper for a voice. I had three post operative appointments to see you, only one of which you bothered showing up for. When you didn’t show up for the third appointment, I asked to have you call me. It took six months and a registered letter (see attached) to get you to call me. When I finally did see you I asked you how I ended up with a paralyzed vocal cord your reply was, “You have a long larynx; we couldn’t put the window in the ideal location; it’s a technical thing.” I found this a rather cold answer after you assurances. I subsequently went through seven additional procedures: two more operations to try to force the paralyzed vocal cord over to close the gap and five injections of various substances to swell the paralyzed vocal cord. After these seven additional procedures, there was little or no improvement. The last injection was over six years ago and I haven’t heard from you since. The vocal cord paralysis virtually ended my career in the entertainment industry and caused difficulties both at home and in social situations outside our home. My voice doesn’t register with voice actuated menus on the phone; I have people hang up on me because it’s some weirdo or someone pulling a joke. The paralysis not only affects my voice, but it allows leakage of food particles and fluids into my air passage causing coughing and hacking to clear it. This is very embarrassing and disconcerting when dinning out. A few years ago I was asked by your office to participate in a survey regarding the operation. I completed the survey form and sent it back in a timely manner. I was supposed to have been contacted by phone for an interview follow up on the survey. When I didn’t hear from your office after a few months I called to speak to the person whose name was on the cover letter of the survey. Over the period of a year I called at least a dozen times and was never able to speak to that person and my calls were never returned. It appears that you were only looking for positive responses to the survey and mine certainly wasn’t. Jim Fox

I too have suffered from this disorder. I had a botox shot in June of this year. I thought that I would be resigned to botox treatments every three to four months. After having the first shot, I decided to pursue an alternative treatment. I thought I could always go back to botox if the treatment didn't work. I went to a functional medicine neurologist in June and had an extensive neurological workup. The cost for this treatment, $8.000.00 is out of network. I talked to the functional medicine doctor who cured my neuropathy. She asked to examine the test results, which were forwarded to her. She then sent the results to a panel of 400 functional medicine physicians who came up with a set of brain balancing exercises to be done three times a day. I;m also seeing a chiropractor who has placed me on a daily regime of balancing exercises. And I get acupuncture once a week. The end result is that I can now talk normally. I can even sing, which is important to me because I conduct music therapy sessions four times a week at a local nursing home. My voice is now normal. I shared this at my church's thanksgiving dinner two days ago and had to watch for the possibility of the waterworks beginning to flow as I spoke. I empathize with you. It's tough to think that every squawk may mean a return to the ENT. I am grateful for botox, even though I don't think I will continue to need it. And I thank God every day for my wonderful functional medicine doctors. Barbara Altman: I have a video on my facebook fan page about this: Hope Shines Eternal

How much does Dr.Berke charge for this surgery? I do not have any Insurance and am waiting for my Medicaid to start whitin the next six months. I have been on Permanent Disability for the last year and a half and just must wait it out. I can barely speak and it is so frustrating. Our medical system sucks, to put someone on Permanent Disability and not to get insurance with it is insane.

Good Lord. First "pukka" gig I went to, c. 1971 only 14 and passed myself off as 18 with a nascent moustache, Croydon Greyhound to become enraptured with this band. Amazing songs, great playing, whimsy, schoolgirls and dustbin lids, I came out half deaf and delirious clutching a cartoon pamphlet of the band's escapades which I later tucked into my copy of "Friendliness". Must have it somewhere... ah, happy days, so glad they're back and daft as ever. :D

Not many things make me laugh out loud but this did! and it wasnt just Andy's look of slightly paternal bemusemennt! Insightful moment of Serious / Whimsy = Lennon / McCartney especially as I have always seen Andy as the Lennon and James as the McCartney of Stackridge. More please, Ian
