What took you over an hour to do I can do in 15 minutes, Just remember time is money 50.00 for screen replacement is what I charge so 50.00 for 15 minutes or 50.00 for an hour. You figure it out.

I think you don't need to disassemble everything. You need to open only the LCD part and pop out the connecting cable at the back of the LCD module.

the motherboard doesn't have the proper circuitry to power a backlit keyboard so even if it did fit in the case it wouldnt light up

The cable that goes to the motherboard is only an extension cable. You don't really need to open the entire laptop, just shut off the internal battery and open the bezel, then replace the screen. Please note: Lenovo uses white-list of panels, and unless your panel is in the list, you won't be able to adjust the brightness.

I have an E455 and it was pretty much the same except for some minor differences in the ribbon placement. I would have been totally lost without the help of this video.

Hi there... Can you tell us which panel (model) you used and was the video cable that came with the laptop replaced or reused. I was told the 30 pin video cable from the 1364 x 768 screen can't be used for higher resolution screens... Thanks

there's a magnet on the right side of the panel located on the frame that makes ur frame not attached firmly. u should pick that magnet and put it on the panel.

which laptop has more color accuracy? I need to edit photos and it looks crazy to me that the YOGA on the left- shows a Gray background [with overly saturated colors for the icons], while the E450 on the right- shows a blue bg! wtf? which screen is correct?
