I honestly feel like you did the right thing playing Kiwami first. It's a proper intro to Kiryu's character, while this game is more Majima's. Also, gameplay-wise, this game is a step up (or a few).

there's no difference at all, hack n slash were the name for rpg campaings with focus in kill enemies and not in the story at all, so tecnically an rpg with the focus on combat and just combat is indead a hack n slash

Im playing Witcher 3 for first time, this is the plot first 20h: 1. Find chick friend, investigate clues in towns, help people in towns for information, finally find her wherabout Chick friend come at you herself 2. Find chick student, go find the informant, informant dead ask higher up (baron), baron ask you to find her family instead, in process do crazy baby ghost shit, fought werewolf, etc... I dont even know what i must do next for the plot

I never played Jeanne D'arc so Shadows of Valenta wins for me. In fact, while I did not beat the game (rage quit at Duma's Tower) it is probably my favorite Fire Emblem that I have played so far

Yakuza/Like a Dragon is hands down my favorite series. The love i have for them is unrivaled. Theyre so damn goofy and fun. Heatmoves would count as super powers imo. Also some of the games have a potion system that lowkey work like "magic". Youre better off not looking too deep into the games. If you like it, go for it, if not, dont dwell on it.

Yakuza games are like action movies with grounded in reality stories, completely over the top action and super plot armor heavy heroes.

you might enjoy 1 the most, serious yakuza drama becomes continually juxtaposed with increasingly stranger side stories and fantastical main story set pieces as the series goes on. what started as a ps2 yakuza crime drama eventually morphed into a series for otaku women that will buy body pillows of Majima and Kiryu, redditors and zoomers.

Yakuza is a game for men, not kids. If you're 4 games in and you still don't inderstand what Yakuza is, you never will. Normal people get it in one game, probably two. Wormrotbrains won't even if they play all 9 main games. You think you can only be one between realistic and over the top in the same game, but not both? As I said, you're a child in an adult's body.

If you played 3 and 7 or 8, you will be screaming wtf is Lau/Chau Ka Long alive when he was headshotted. Yakuza/Like a dragon is fun because it is ridiculous and the gameplay evolves from ps2 engine to dragon engine

Yakuza is bi polar urban fantasy simulator and I’m all for it, probs just not for you, they’re still a niche series. The aura around your characters and their inhuman strength comes as a testament that these are urban fantasy first with realistic elements to contrast with the story. It’s essentially Japanese Saints Row give or take.

Bruh Yakuza is nearly perfect. The only problem is that not every game can be another entry in the Yakuza series.

Yakuza has always been this way. The main story cutscenes are almost always serious, but the sidequests and gameplay are often over the top and hilarious. 2 distinctly different tones, but yeah, that's a huge part of its charm and one of the reasons so many people love it. I myself just count the stuff that makes sense as head canon, and dismiss the fact that I just seconds earlier got shot 20 times in a row with a gun during a boss fight.
