Dude, is your tractor an 8n?... looking for one
It is a 2n.
Sweet, love it
As do I. Helluva workhorse.
Good idea to cover culvert pipe at both sides and ends with concrete. A cover over the middle too. Anchor ⚓️ your pipe!
Thanks for the tips!
Weird or not, it sounds like it was more of a better day than a bad one. Glad you all got the truck legal. That is a huge step!
It surely was!
If I had machine tools...
I know.
So if your cutting up a downed branch while River dancing, it's a Benjamin..?
You betcha.
I've had a broken windscreen for 40 years now. Can't imagine how much it is now
Thought about antique plates....
I feel you bro!
More of a rant than I like.
Remember having a wood shed with pre-made front w/door and back wall. You made whatever length you wanted plus it was expandable.
Wish I had that now!
Maybe put a wide pipe in that space where are the road is washed out and a new culvert is forming, then fill the space around it with gravel, sand and clay dirt. So maybe water can flow through and under the road! 😅 Maybe a pipe can prevent more erosion. I would consider using a good, fast growing local plant (weeds lol) that can grow in that type of soil and has deep roots to plant all around on the side the water flows from. Maybe shrubby or tree type "weeds", you know, to help prevent erosion. 🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️
We managed to drag the pipe back, and put it where it belongs. ua-cam.com/video/8zHYEcYcaQM/v-deo.htmlsi=jWk4J8mH7svMgXTs
Snowmobile engine
Send me one, lol!
Agree with J a 420!
212 is $150, 420 is $400, I'm lookin through what I have....
420 definitely.
I think I'll start with a 212, I went and looked, the 420 might be a bit of a tight squeeze. (Space wise, and monitarilly)
Looks great!!
Thank you!
You need to move that chuck key!! Nice press!
Dude.....if it ait there, I'm losin it. Lol.
Spending money on tools is always justified because it saves you money down the road. At least that's what I tell my wife!!
That's what I'm going with!
That belt used to be 5/8 but after Bono ran over a shoe in his yard, it just wasn't the same... Plus i used that mower as a brush hog before we had a tractor. Run what you brung!!
Need to replace my door handle. Been broke over 25 years. Not easy on a Camaro. Need to replace door hinge pins too!!
It aint that hard, pins almost need 2 people, lift handle aint too bad.
You may want to form up and pour a concrete head wall atleast on the inlet side.
We're trying to figure out how to pay for it.
Trust me on this ..buy a bigger convert to handle that amount of water or you will have the problem again.I was in construction field for 40 years
It is an ongoing problem, we just need to figure out how to get it paid for.
Bigger culvert. Or bridge.
Just need to figure out how to get it paid for.
@@bumblingfool You could, Cut down some trees. Square off a Good size like 10x10 and then the length you need and set that down. on the ends dig down a bit throw some bags of concrete to hold the placement of those boards. If you have any scrap metal and some rocks around you can put in that concrete to help it. That should work for a long time. if you want you can throw some rock down on top that will smooth the edges and give some weight to it.
Fashion two rearends together into a tandem rearend. A dump bed on top for traction and a way to steer. OH OH..take off the tires and put on trax!!
C'mon out and help!
You better be careful. You could wash away and your not wearing flippers!
Or a vest....
Hate to say it but that grate needs to stay off. Seems like it is causing more issues than it does good.
It works on the regular stuff, keeps the rocks from building up in the culvert. It's the heavy 2" in an hour that clogs up.
Could be a low idle because I have had that happen before where if an engine is idling it will shut off unless I give it gas.
It gets worse when I give it more throttle.
@@bumblingfool I see, how are your fuel lines and how is your gas tank?
@@ryangoforit8632 got good flow from the tank, and an extra filter just because. I'll take any advice I can.
@@bumblingfool And it is clean gas too? Man this has me interested now, I will comment again if I realize something. You can do this!!!
@@bumblingfool We actually put two filters in a truck for gas at one point but the gas tank had so much dirty gas in it that it clogged both
That soil looks like it has ZERO clay in it. Some regions have to truck clay in to mix with the soil to build roads that can withstand any rain.
We have clay, but not enough to do much for this. This is all creek rock, and silt. Doing what we can with what we have.
He’s new to Country life?
Who do you mean?
@@bumblingfool Road washouts are a common occurrence where I’m from.
@@vJackaRoo It is common during the rainy part of the year, but the only maintenance is by the people who live here. Very little equipment, or money. However, we are working on it!
Could be nothing considering I am listening to in through ear buds but I swear I was hearing an erratic ark or snapping sound like ignition jumping to ground.
Maybe I should run it at night to check for spark?
Better roads = higher property value...right?
One would think.
Do you have a timing light? Hooking one up and watching the flashing to see if your getting steady fire might tell you something...???
I do not. Need to try that.
sky water
Big sky water, lol.
Ghost engine!!
Wish with one hand.....
Can you put some screen/barrier a little further upstream to catch stuff before the culvert?
Going to try.
The starter solenoid was bad on the running mower. And you should swap out the fuel cap.
The solenoid was swapped out earlier, but it was surging badly. Hence the carb swap, runs good now. Yay.
Hey bud. It is 2024. Not 2023...
I went into the past again...
Go with electronic ignition. Its also good to carry a old spark plug on the tractor to test spark. Could be your ballast resistor if you have one on yhat machine.. cool video 👍 i like these small youtube channels more than the larger ones. More realistic for the "common man"
Good advice, I do plan on electronic, when I can scrape the money together.
Hillbilly fix - throw some boards over it, & call it a bridge
Lol, yes! Of course I'm thinking an ambulance might be a little much.
Tent weather proofing spray?
Possibly?....
Spray the top of your tent with some silicone based shit and it'll make the water bead...
Or a tarp, lol.
I'm digging the bath tub flower garden!! So much potential
Needs actual fertilizer.
Your ignition problem has me curious. What model is that, 2n?
Yes, 2n.
I don't miss those days. Both my toilets work perfect. So does my sink, shower, dishwasher and garbage disposal. Maybe I should grow some plants..🤔😵💫
You had toilet issues too? I go out of town for the week and immediately had toilet issues. Had to call in a local friend...
It was having issues about a month ago, fixed itself, then started acting up again a couple days ago. I have one spare left...
Was, a road
Need to get back on it, forever short on time....
Look at you calling me by my government name. Lol you're welcome buddy
Credit where credit is due!
Pass around the peace pipe first. Once everyone quits giggling and wonders why their gathered together...then you can have a chill meeting (unless there are no snacks)😊😊
Lots o snacks!
Looking w
Not sure what you're saying, but thanks for saying something!
Wanna sell her?...old Ford?
I have a buyer, if I decide to let it go.
Have worked on these. The thing that happens with them is, the culvert gets jammed full of gravel, stone and debris. They get jammed to the point where no water is able to flow through them naturally, and so, they will get pushed out of place by the weight of the water that has built up in the ditch. All the surrounding material soaks up water and gets push along with it. We used a Vac Truck to blow out the debris that has been stuck in the culverts. This had to be done before each big rain.
We are dealing with it on at least 3 water crossings. Fortunately this is the only one that blew out this much.
The county kept trying to put a culvert in, close to where I go hunting. You can see all the different sizes washed out into the woods. They eventually put a train car in. It was cylindrical with each end cut off and the wheels removed. After the second one blew out into the woods, they quit trying.
Yeouch!
😊😂😂😂😂
