Sadly, what was a parody concept as shown in this video is now true; CTV Sci-Fi (formerly Space: The Imagination Station) is showing NOTHING but just a few programs, mainly TNG and Voyager, and then repeat _Stargate SG1_ four times.

Reminds me of the time back in the 90s. I lived at apartment complex and I was going to work. As I was walking to my car I encountered about 6 Klingons near the dumpster. There was a Trek convention nearby and they must have been there as a meet up. Or maybe their ship was cloaked nearby not sure.

This was a commercial for Toronto Canada's the "Space: The Imagination Station". In the late 90s, Space used to play Trek nonstop, and this commercial was always a fun to watch. CHUM television used to have a real sense of humour with their promos. People used to watch Space so much, the 'logo' of the space network at the bottom right would get burned into a lot of tv sets. They played some really weird sci-fi stuff in the early days. I remember this short film about a guy wrestling Shatner's toupee would play all the time. Sadly, CTV bought out this channel in 2007, and the geniuses there changed the name to "CTV Sci-Fi Channel". Now it's just a lifeless zombie channel. "The Nashville Network" also ran ads of two network execs talking about how their ratings skyrocketed by playing Trek nonstop, and them asking each other if they'd 'do' those Klingon sisters from TNG.
