I absolutely love the early days of sampling. Not only did it show a lot of creativity, it made me check out and love most of the songs the samples originated from. It's a win-win for me, because I end up checking out multiple artists, some of which i may never have heard before the sample. If I made music, I'd be honoured if someone thought it was at least interesting enough to sample!

Hip Hop is build on sampling, and thats GREAT… but in 2024, everybody is sampling everything, especially 90’s euro trance/house hits are being sampled by crappy US “rappers”

Sampling is a perfect way to pay tribute to a favorite artist, but some “artist” like P Diddy, Dr, Dre and Will Smith it’s just a disgrace….!!! Sampling is an art, if done correct, but OF COURSE the original artist should get paid for their work..!!!
