Parlow pointed me to your channel, so I dropped in to check out some of your videos, time has been good to you, you look remarkable the same just goateed and a little grey now! good work on the video production, I can see you are putting a lot of effort into making a good product (both the little bikes and the videos). Enjoyed the video, Patrick. I did notice the dyno guy thought it had a hand clutch. Now that we know the hp and torque, I would love to see the speed/time for the 1/8 & 1/4 mile. Keep up the great work and content, my friend. FYI, I still haven't got the chance to start on my XL70 build.

I owned a 1973 CB500K1 back in the 1980’s. I did a complete restoration on the motorcycle. It was Green / Black. I installed a 4 into 1 chrome exhaust on it. For an early 70’s 500 it ran pretty strong, as I remember it topping out at just over 100mph. Fun times.

Great Builds, here in Europe we have a few 212cc DAX guys but wa can't seem to find any exhaust that lets us use the full potential of the 212cc engine. The classic-style kitaco results in a lower acceleration then let's say a Kitaco OT. And even that has a very narrow exhaust pipe. any suggestions?

You can squeeze a little more hp out if you port and polish the head even if you don't swap it along with port matching every thing to match like intake head carb and exhaust. I'd even say new exhaust if that's the original style exhaust pipe the 212 is push alot more air out over stock a stock header most likely will restrict the air flow. They also have a adjustable cdi box it's a Daytona option racing part you can also use ceramic back wheel bearings and a direct drive wheel hub in stead of the kush drive wheel set up also will help if the trial 70 uses it in it wheel set up. There definitely was a hp increase when this was done to a grom set up it was very similar to your bike set up it also was redyno after these changes there was a increase of hp after they did these changes were made . The most iv seen a built Daytona 212 dyno at was 28 whp all motor thats quite a bit of power for a relatively small engine in my opinion also if I remember right the guy said it would do low to mid 80s mph I'm not to familiar with a trail. I'm a grom and mini gp moto bike ohvale gp both also fit the zs and Daytona engines. 💯👍✌️

I really enjoyed watching this ct70 series. Hope there is more to come alltho hard to beat that 212cc setup. Well gues one could go DOHC or something high end. Unless there is a bolt-on turbo-kit for that one which I doubt.

Daytona swap to the 4v head and cam you can use the jug but piston swap needed . You can also go fuel injection but quite of bit of parts are needed .🤑🫡💯👍✌️

You're not running an oil cooler?? Be nice should try a Daytona 4v head see if it will pick up little bit more power.. I have yet to put mine on

I run 17/32 on my 125cc Icebear Champion, with 4.00x10 tires. I’m not sure how it would affect your dyno numbers, but with a 212cc and 12” tires, I’d probably run 18/32. I would think that gearing will make it more enjoyable to ride on the street.

I saw this video a few months back, and on your recommendation, decided to order this Bart Moto pipe....So now that I have this restoration well under way, I installed the 125 Lifen and new exhaust. Looks and sounds great. BUT...Now, much to my disappointment, I find the whole stock skid plate will not fit around this pipe. Do you have any tips to make that work? I know it's not the end of the world, buy I just really like the look better with it on.
