What a pile of dogshit. This is what people paid thousands of dollars for?
Best part of this video is setting the credit at the end with the Directed By name lol
Lol I think the best part is that I missed that. Thanks for watching. And better than that to the end.
I had just purchased a brand new model y performance and the first day in fsd it hit 2 curbs. I’ve been a lot less trusting of it since and have been taking over a lot more as of lately out of fear of it happening again. I will say once I updated to 12.5 there seems to be a difference and it hasn’t come close to hitting any curbs yet, although on 12.5 I did have to intervene when it was self parking bc it was most definitely going to hit the car behind me, no reason the tesla had to come within and inch of the other cars front bumper.
Wow that's crazy it will get close sometimes but it hasn't hit any curbs yet for me. I'm definitely going to be watching closer. So far the self parking has been great for me just another thing I'll be watching closer. Thanks for watching.
I have a question for you. I don’t know how all this works, but can the car learn from its mistakes and does Tesla update the software ever?
I'm not sure, with it being AI based I would like to think so but hard to say
We cant be 100% sure about the details, the best we have are the statements from Tesla AI Day 2022: ua-cam.com/users/liveODSJsviD_SU The cars uses its cameras to reconstruct a digital representation of the world / driving situation. It then uses a policy to generate the trajectory to follow (blue line) which it then executes. New FSD versions are partially based on learning from mistakes made during deployment. But the behavior of the policy is fixed while being deployed to the car. It is only changed during training on Tesla servers, necessitating an update to change it in the car. (It is unlikely that Tesla will ever make changes to this approach, as the in-car hardware is optimized for NN-inference and would be much less capable for training. This centralized rollout is also necessary to be able to test each new version before it goes live.) In recent versions of FSD, we can sometimes observe the car being able to see streets, that are occluded by e.g. buildings, which could indicate that Tesla switched to a hybrid approach, where this representation is not just based on camera data, but also based on past data from older drives of the same or other cars. We know that Tesla sometimes collects the representtions generated during drives, so also sending them back out to allow cars to anticipate how streets will be layed out better is sensible. These would not require an FSD update to be changed. So this could be regarded as a form of online learning. Lets see what they tell us at 10/10...
@@MDJ58 the software does update. That would most likely be when you would see it improve or learn.
Tesla combines training footage of people driving the car with virtual training on their supercomputer. That's how they build newer models, which they fine tune and then release to the public.
Love the scenery, except now I want to travel west again…😢
We are very blessed out here. I'll probably need to make a drive up the canyons soon. Thanks for watching
If you have a car that drives for you. You shouldn’t be on the road. Catch the bus. Leave the vibrator at home
After the big FSD update several months ago, I tried it out and then turned it off. Let me know when it can drive better than a competent responsible driver (like myself). Tesla using the real world and its own customers to test out FSD BETA is reckless in my opinion. FSD will take you to a business and then literally think you want the car inside the building. FSD doesn't even have the common sense to know that you want the car legally parked near the building.
I LOL'd at the car wanting to be inside the building lmao
I agree it's biggest struggle is when it gets to a business it just falls apart especially considering that they have the autopark feature.
6:28 where it takes u turn
Thanks for the feedback. I appreciate it. Thanks for watching.
I'm really not impressed with this technology so far.
It's not without its faults. But I would encourage you to do a tesla demo drive and try it out. I use it everyday. Thanks for watching
@@LetsDrive-bt3bc A long time ago as am undergraduate student I studied briefly with a computer scientist who was one of the first to propose self-driving vehicles. He had federal grants to do the research, but we still all thought it was a wild idea. That was in 1995. i'm not an early adapter of new technologies. I prefer to wait until they are mainstream and have been fully vetted. Given how slow auto manufacturers can be with implementing new tech throughout the entire range of car models, I imagine it will be another twenty years before I see this come to full fruition.
You call that tight 😂
Lol. Thanks for watching.
Focus isn't always helpful in the moment when moments take years huh!!?

Actually for the most part is a great system I encourage you to try it out. Thanks for watching.
